Exactly.I'm not sure how we are rolling out the red carpet though.
The carpet is actually colour-matched to the visitors.
So, Liverpool would have a red carpet, for example. Spurs would have white and Palace would have brown.
Exactly.I'm not sure how we are rolling out the red carpet though.
Not sure that the England cricket team of the past 30 years is a good benchmark, given that they have broken a few records in positive sense during that period.
I'm not sure what records Albion have been on the wrong side of though.
Why do you bother going? You seem to hate making the effort to go to home games. Have you ever been to any other PL ground (or most other leagues for that matter) ? The Amex is nowhere near as bad as you constantly make out atmosphere wise etc - certainly not much different to most other grounds.Amex is an anti-fortress.
Too many plastics. Too many negative fans. Not good enough support. Easy away day.
Our home form will always be mediocre/shite until this changes. I've given up with the issue - hoping it will change as we grow more die-hard fans over time.
But that, in a nutshell, is why it is easy for teams to get a result here, even when they're up against it.

- it's a well established fact that the 'home advantage' of a supportive home fanbase can affect results.
No but want to win games , 1st the away fans being behind the goal (being changed) , 2nd have you seen the likes of Newcastles away dressing rooms ? , if I have to continue then you don’t do too many away gamesIt's a game of football not a war.
Besides, what exactly do the club/fans do that makes the Amex "too welcoming"?
Allowing away fans to easily buy tickets in the home end being oneI'm not sure how we are rolling out the red carpet though.

Absolutely. The atmosphere at the Amex ebbs and flows with what's going on on the pitch generally. It can be quiet; it can be fantastic. Same as every other ground in this country pretty much. @Mustafa II seems to absolutely love having a dig at the fans at the Amex at any given opportunity with completely bullshit 'facts' linking atmosphere to home form.No one blamed the supporters when we got over the line in two key at the time 6-pointers versus Bmuff and Fulham. The team turned up from the whistle, the crowd support was great was start to finish.
Exactly the same as City. They have been shit over the past 10 years since all their plastics came too.Amex is an anti-fortress.

The atmosphere at Anfield is largely terrible too unless it's a big game. They seem to have done alright this season. And if ever there were a 'family' atmosphere its at Fulham and Bournemouth - they have both also done pretty well this season.Exactly the same City. They have been shit over the past 10 years since all their plastics came too.

Nope many EPL fans are shite until they scoreThe shite home atmosphere affecting results problem has spanned many players and many managers now.
It's the biggest long-term issue we have at this club that affects our success.
Well he’s back again in a fortnight let’s seeOur away fans are amazing. Always have been. They're inspirational in our great away results.
Whether you buy into it or not - it's a well established fact that the 'home advantage' of a supportive home fanbase can affect results. It's blindingly obvious that the players want it - they actively try to encourage it. Just as it's obvious that players respond to it - on the rare occasions that the Amex is buzzing, the players respond and we get some fantastic results (Potter's return at Chelsea is a great example of this, but there are many).
