All teams can probably say this though.

Palace bang on about their terrible start.
They drew with leicester and Wolves and lost to Everton, too
True enough but I exist in a very small BHAFC bubble where these things simply don't happen to anybody else ever.

No. The Webster/Rutter moments against Forest literally changed our PL prospects.
I think the same we have no one to hold the ball up as good as Rutter & Dunk sorry to say isn’t up to it anymore. Rutter is an excellent player can’t believe some still think we over paid.
Another problem we’ve had all season is scoring goals, if we win we win by a slim margin.
Gone are the days of a 3-0 job done or hammering Wolves by 6 it’s Christ can we hold on here.

More likely than I would have thought before the season. Still very unlikely though.
Tbh I don't really even think of it. Would be fantastic with any of the continental cups.

We’ve scored 3 or more goals in eight matches this season.

We've won by 2 goals or more 13 times since we beat Wolves 6-0 , including a 5-0, 4-0 , and 2 x 4-1s . There have been two 3-0s this season.

Yes, we can forget it now. Best is not to think... just concentrate on the game of the week and see where you get at the end of the season. I know... easier said than done, but we know what happens when you start thinking too far ahead.

This scenario really frustrates me as I feel we should be closer to the top 4 than we are.

The season was a real mixed bag until the Forest thrashing. That game looked like it had opened our eyes...The following game we changed things up. We were more compact, sat deeper, defended as a unit and attacked really quickly with purpose.
The following 7 results post thrashing ended 17-6 in our favour. This new way of playing very clearly suited us.
Forest then rolled up again and we change it back to the pre thrashing way of play and we have been poor again since.

We found the formula and then deserted it again. Why?

Before Forest or rather Everton we were unbeaten in 7, with draws v Villa and Arsenal and 4-0, 3-1 and 2-0 wins. or 13-5 in our favour.

It was always a slim chance, I think, but last night and this weekend’s results ended any chance we have really, not least as we are so infuriatingly inconsistent and can’t seem to find the big results when we need them. Suspect even the Europa League might be in doubt too. Not being Peter Pessimist, just Ronnie Realist.

Even if we somehow managed it (probably as a result of other teams ****ing up), would we honestly deserve it this season? We have been up and down like the proverbial bride's nightie.

The season we finished 6th under RDZ, we absolutely would have done (we were potentially denied 13 points through poor officiating and VAR decisions - ten extra points would have been enough. And yes, I am still bitter about it).
