[Albion] Club cancelling ST due to non-attendance

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
There must be a tipping point where you think this just isn’t worth the aggro. I’ve paid in good faith and now you are accusing me wrongly of non attendance. The way clubs are treating fans is disgraceful. Drop down to league 1 and it can happen quickly for the unlucky clubs the message will be ‘ we need your support more than ever ‘. 🙄
There certainly isn’t a queue for season tickets as the club are advertising them for sale on Facebook.

Yeah, someone was showing me that on Saturday on the train up. Page upon page of season ticket availability.

Strikes me that it’s the one off (dare I say it…tourist) sales that they get aggravated about. Double/triple the money for the club.

Do we now have to tell the club about lifestyle changes to keep hold of our tickets? I know your personal attendance is one thing and ticket exchange for the rest but what if you’ve got the option to work abroad for one year - do you risk telling them or just get a mate to scan in and push round the turnstile for you?

I think it’s been established the waiting list was a fabrication
No, no it wasn't.

Pre-pandemic there was a waiting list each season, of various sizes.

As is the case with many things the post-Covid situation looks a bit different.

These people weren't making it up:

Done a Frexit, now in London
Maybe barbs will introduce a 'check in' before KO type cut off and if you don't your ticket will be re sold at the kiosk.

Well at the moment - this sort of shenanigans is not really needed.
Simply give it up for a year and then buy one next year. ? (there's currently c1200+ on general sale) .

If that's an actual question rather than a hypothetical one, then let the club know what the position is and tell them that every seat will be up for resale. Assuming that the club is paying attention and making sensible decisions, there is no downside for them - they get the guaranteed money AND get the seat available for general sale AND have in effect a guaranteed sale for the season after. They should be happy.

Hypothetical.

Some of you may be aware that a long term Albion fan has decided not to renew his ST due to the fact that (allegedly) the club has cancelled his son’s ticket due to non-attendance. I had an operation to remove my prostate in October and had to miss some home games so I thought I would check in the ST T&C’s to find out what the club policy is regarding non-attendance. However, I can’t find anything in the ST T&C’s that stipulates how many games a ST holder must attend. There seems to be no limit for the 24/25 season on how many times you can offer your ticket for resale which tends to suggest that there is no minimum attendance rules but maybe this appears somewhere else in the club’s various T&C’s. Can anyone on NSC illuminate me?

I've had two extended hospital admissions in recent years and the club have been first class in the way they've handled it. I've also dealt, this season, with my Son playing football on Saturday and putting ticket on exchange, again no issues.
