If our attackers were so great we'd have scored more than 1 goal in 300 minutes this week!
I suppose my point rather badly put is focus on defence rather than multiple wingers, strikers and attacking midfielders of whom we've still to see some but doubt we ever will

I've woken up with a hangover (from five pints?! When did I become a lightweight?!) and have just had to wash clumps of shit out of my cat's tail.

With luck, today will get better but based on how the last hour has gone I'm not confident.
Who would have known wiping my cat's arse with a warm flannel wouldn't be the shittiest thing to happen today.

So in less than a season FH has overseen us suffer our worse defeat in 70 years and our first Palace double league defeat in 90 years. That's some going.
With 11v9 we created nothing , so predictable that we would then get a player sent off (think Newcastle in the Cup). . Just hoping Villa can beat Palace now.
Safe journey to our fans home.
5 clean sheets in 31 league games too. He's certainly building an impressive c.v...

God I hope the improvement next season is exponential.

You forgot bottling the best chance of a cup in years, by choosing his own penalty takers 🤦‍♂️

Our chances of a European tour next season have disappeared , not enough Albion players on the pitch knowing the imperative of beating SCUM.

I think FH needs some experience to give him some advice, it’s a lot on young shoulders. We have good players but apart from the occasional flash of brilliance are not yet a team consistently.
Out back four needs some speed, plenty of decent CB’s around.
Last few results have been very poor.

The league table suggests otherwise. They deserved to win at the Amex because Hurzeler was naive and played into their hands. Today was a close match that could have gone either way.
Felt today the selection was good, shape and tactics were good, but individual errors are really costing us.

We got him a hugely experienced AM in Jan.

They are on a very good run and the stats suggest this was a close game.
Next week’s game is now a critical one. Three points and we are back on track for 8th which should get us into Europe.
Anything less than a win and I think it’s likely our season will end poorly and we’ll be thinking ‘what if’.
I am absolutely in no doubt that the injuries to Webster and Rutter have had a very significant impact on us.
We need to regroup and go again.
Hopefully we can get some players back for the last 7 games as we need them at present.

What’s worrying is that over the course of this season we just never play well ever. Baring spells of 20 minutes we are more often awful than good. I don’t remember a convincing win, it’s constantly just trying to grind something out of games. Chris Hughton could do that with this squad. De Zerbi with these players would have done far better imo.

The international break has stalled our season. However, we now have a week to regroup and a favourable fixture next Saturday. No need to panic yet.
It’s not panic. We are just not going anywhere now. Season is over. To suggest otherwise is delusional. Yes it’s mathematically possible and all that but Devon Lock didn’t get back up and win either.

Oh, I agree - it's just that our attackers maybe actually aren't as great as we think - or thought - they are. I know that we want them to be great for us and take us to new heights - but there's also the commercial element, and I can't see many players out there we're going to make much profit on if we decide to move them on in the summer.
