He was actually the one player to go and commiserate Hinsh and Gomez as soon as they had missed and to 'gee up' the others and the team generally. He has a great attitude imo - but obviously wasn't at his best tonight because he'd just flown back from Brazil!
I couldn't give a f*** if you walked to Taz or stayed at home, you're either fit and up for it or not. Its FH's call anyway.

he's a great player on his day, we all agree. But has been a bit patchy this season . . . . Personally I think hes had his head turned . . . .

When he came on, he didn't look on it . . . . So why bring him on?! Maybe he told FH he was 100% when he knew he wasn't? I really like some of his play and tenacity/dtetermination . .but he's selfish sometimes, often, that how goal-scorers are. This evening was a close/tight game and It needed something special, which never arrived . . . . It was only going to happen as a team, I think, but he looked like he was trying to do it all on his own a few times.

I can live without theatrics at football

we didn't miss a penalty . . . . They have a very good goalkeeper

No. We took two poor penalties to their one. Sels didn't have to do much to save them.
BV got big hands on their last kick but fluffed it.

I do not get to many games but was there today. In regular and extra time we slightly edged it, but nil nil was still about right. I celebrated our (clearly) offside goal as if it was all over. Glad I did as after that it was pure misery. Why do we do this to ourselves?

I wish I could sleep soundly like you when I know there’s an important BHA game on. I found myself waking up in the early hours and having to check the scores from those pre-season friendlies we had in the US 2 years ago!
It is an age thing, my work is still mainly manual and after getting home, cleaning up and dinner. I can't keep my eyes open after about 9pm, no mater how hard I try.
I wish I did sleep soundly, after the first couple of hours I toss and turn a lot, going in amd out of sleep for the next 3 hours or so, then just lie there for a while with one eye open.

Genuinely can’t sleep, I’m so wound up and frustrated. Got to be up for work in under three hours too. Bloody good job I’m working from home because I’d be shit company in the office.

Harrumph etc.

Bad news comes in threes, right?

1)Palace stroll into the semis.

2)We get knocked out.

3)Round about the same time as we're flailing our way to defeat my IBS starts playing up. I've spent the past 12 hours lying in bed with any movement making me heavily nauseous and fighting vomiting.

Brilliant!

So that's the three bad news stuff out the way. So that means we're going to smash Villa, right?

When it went to penalties knew we would lose as Bart never gets near one sadly. Forest players went to ground for every 50/50 ball and the ref kept falling for it. Our own fault though as we had 120 minutes plus injury time to score a goal but couldn't get past their sold back four. I prefer Gomez over Ayari as think he is better moving the ball forward. Forest's game plan without Wood was to win on penalties and it worked.
Just our luck that when we get to the quarter final, our cup keeper, Jason Steele, is injured. Injuries have cost us dearly this season.

Same old story, it makes these league seasons a lottery with what team has the worst injuries.prime example n. Forest lack of injuries during the season has them 3rd in the league and in semis, apart from wood today.

Been a long time since I’ve seen us bullied and looking second best for big parts of a game. Struggling to blame the International breaks. Forest were more up for it than we were overall imo.

Disappointing but bizarrely I have felt worse after league defeats this season

Don’t feel that we were unlucky, just outmuscled by a very confident and compact Forest. Losing 50/50s and often 60/40s all over the pitch was not great to watch.

We had our chances in extra time when we looked the fitter and better side.
