Zelenskyy is a good guy..Brave, principled, honest and puts his country and people before his personal ambitions.

He's not perfect, nobody is, but it's genuine that 75% of Ukrainains, on the front line support him.

My wife sees him as we might have seen Churchill 80 years ago. A symbol of definiance and courage against powerful evil forces.

Of course, there are many uninformed people who don't take the view of Ukrainans themselves, or have much depth of knowledge and they will find a plethora of deliberate demonisation, false accusation (like dictator), or baseless accusations of corruption.

All of which is spread ny evil men without character and their propagandists , and designed to undermine the character of the only with any character. Because he's a block to their evil desires.

There has been no war leader in my lifetime who is more brave, more heroic, more principled and more worthy of praise than Volodomyr Zelenskyy.

But then I'm seeing it through Ukriainians eyes and with respect, probably a little deeper knowledge of those who try to undermine him, how they do it and why.
I too see him as you do but without Ukrainian eyes. Is he perfect, he is human so definitely not but neither was Churchill. Without him as their leader I don't think Ukraine would exist now. He wants peace but it must be a fair peace which gives Ukraine a future without rewarding the aggressor who will think he can back for more.

The distraction that is fishing rights as part of a defence pact reared its head in parliament today.

Infantile Brexit games continue - the Mail, Express, Telegraph and Spectator all appear prominently in a search limited to the past week.

Now they all get to stir up FISHING FURY again as they report on HUGE ROW IN COMMONS.

Another case of “you won, get over it”.

Well said.

You display greater dignity, grace and restraint than I would have done in the same circumstances.

I honestly just gave my opinions on the world leaders involved.

My opinions differ from the groupthink on this thread.

Lots of people quoted my post and then someone said that everything was about me on here and that was what I wanted.

I responded to a couple of posts that were quoting me.

I’m really not trolling anybody, I just wouldn’t do that, and I’m certainly not criticising anyone on here. I’m talking about heads of state.

On the subject of solutions, like absolutely everyone else I do not know what the answer is, I have no solution to offer for the Russia Ukraine war …. but I don’t feel that should prevent me from giving my opinions.

To be honest I am genuinely shocked that absolutely everyone on here thinks Zelenskyy is a good guy
It does not surprise me that you don’t recognise bravery when you see it.

The problem these papers have is that an overwhelming number of reform voters are anti Putin so it’s a difficult path To tread. Apparently Farage isn’t sure how to play it on GBnews … bless.

As far as I can see, everyone is still waiting for objective evidence from you to support your opinion that Zelenskyy is not in fact a "good guy"?

But then the cynic in me suggests that in fact you're happy you've already achieved your goal by sowing your poisonous seeds and causing several people to suggest that he might be a (lesser) "bad guy" in an admirable effort to themselves appear objective on the subject.

i Think it’s the opposite, by his trolling or being a dick, he’s focussed our minds on just what a great job Zelensky is doing.

Is Zelensky perfect? No, of course not. But nor was Churchill. And in the 1940s boy did the free world need him. Zelensky is the 2020s Churchill.

Will be interesting if this is an assassination (actual or attempted) of another military big wig
Reports say it was most likely due to welding work being done at the time. But let’s hope Ukraine claims responsibility anyway, if only to cast doubt in their minds and p1ss them off

When Zelenskyy ran for President it was basically on 2 main issues, an end to corruption and an end to the war with Russia. He wanted to implement Minsk2 and as part of that agreement hold elections in Donetsk.

He campaigned on bringing peace to Ukraine and won with about 75% of the vote

He went back on Minsk2 as soon as he was in power and told the German newspaper that he never intended to stick to minsk2 and that it was a terrible deal.

America strongly advised he proceed but no he just went about arming his country - publicly demanding NATO commit 1% of its armies to Ukraine, demanding Ukraine be allowed to join NATO. Publicly announcing again and again that there was no chance of a Russian invasion and that all the scaremongering was affecting the economy.

I never really bought the explanation for the off shore bank accounts in British Virgin Isles… we needed them to keep our money safe? But his boss was one of the most corrupt people in the country Kolomosky, he funded the election campaign and owned the company that paid Hunter Biden $50,000 a month.

The off shore accounts all got swept under the carpet really.

After denying the claims that $400 million had gone missing there was the dismissal and forced resignation of 15 deputy ministers but only after allegations of corruption were in the press … and this was over 3 years after he took power so hardly a clean broom when becoming President.

After the Oval Office incident, this thread was wild, Trump was trying to steal Ukraine’s wealth with the mineral deal etc etc

I got shouted down on here when I said that it was Zelenskyy himself who had proposed the mineral deal with US and that he had gone to the White House to sign a pre agreement. Not true they shouted - yet 24hours later Zelenskyy made a statement that he was willing to sign the deal. So go figure.

No free press, political parties banned and no elections because the country is at war. However if you get elected on a ticket that you will bring peace- you must’ve been at war when you got elected so that doesn’t add up to me.

To be honest that is only the tip of the iceberg, whilst I completely agree that Putin and Trump are in the wrong, I do not see Zelenskyy as wanting Peace- in fact he showed that as soon as he got in power.

*Genuinely shocked at all the nasty comments aimed at me simply because I hold a different opinion, would really appreciate it if things weren’t so personal please.

You should leave.

Not because you have a different point of view........simply that you are trolling and have been doing so for a significant length of time.
