I’m not as offended by this as others seem to be. As our model demonstrates having experienced good pros around younger players is important so Henderson makes some sense.

Elliott Anderson isn’t better than any of those picked so don’t mind that one at all, I am surprised at MGW but that’s about it. Wharton is ludicrously overhyped and doesn’t deserve a spot. Watkins is injured otherwise I suppose he would be in.

When, exactly? Admittedly he was good during the time he was at Leicester, and for the first couple of years at United - less so since. Good, yes, but world class? Come on, you're having a laugh!
Euro 2020 he was sublime and many times since whilst also popping up with goals, I wasn't advocating his inclusion, someone else made the comparison, oh and he's the same age as Burn. Just saying....

You talk about the World Cup as if it's some insiginificant warm-up tournament and not the pinnacle of international football. There's no question that the World Cup in 15 months should be the priority; now is not the time to be blooding young players that might hit peak-career age in time for the 2028 Euros.
Not at all, I don't disagree with you. I was responding to a post suggesting that youngsters like Hinsh should be considered. That was never going to happen for the reasons already stated. ALL of our eggs are in the 2026 basket, so Tuchel will have no qualms about selecting the old guard 30-somethings (Henderson will be 35 next summer FFS).

Once we stuff it up - and we will - then its back to the drawing board with a new guy in charge.

Not a very fair comparison since Maguire has been world class for England, you are judging on his club form. Which other player is pulling up trees at Old Trafford these days?
Sorry you seem to have a spelling mistake there. You have spelled it 'world class', when it is actually spelled 'a flat track bully who has been repeatedly found out whenever he has had to face quality opponents.' ;)

Impressed with Tuchel at the presser. Articulate, humorous and confident. Found it interesting and he handled the questions well. It’s not as if these players are the only ones he will pick in future or that the controversial ones will be starting but let’s not let that get in the way of a good rant. Tuchel out!

It's usually best to expect that when you see a stupid comment on NSC it is a genuinely stupid comment rather than an attempt to comedy
At least, until the poster has established themself as a King of Comedy. ???

Hinsh and Beadle in the U21 squad - joining Harwood Bellis, Lewis, Branthwaite, and Wharton who have been demoted from the senior team.

Very good to see Hinsh in the under 21 squad. That feels like the right thing for him right now.

Yes I think you're really struggling separating club and International form. when Maguire has played for England he has, in the main, been exceptional. I don't watch Man Utd so can't comment on club form

That is a strong U21 squad. There are players in there who are better than some of the ones in the senior selection, and you could easily make a case for any of Wharton, Harwood-Bellis (despite a difficult season), Gray, Hinshelwood, Branthwaite, Anderson or even Delap being picked for the main event.

That Alec Scott gets everywhere. It's political correctness gone mad.

I think he has done well defensively for England but a fair bit of the GASH build-up is due to him and Pickford.

Not having Harwood Bellis on that list.

Not a good player at all, IMO
