40 million! Are you mad.

Judging by comments on here and his injury record, I would think 8-10 million would be enough.
Considering how much we paid for him , this is a fair return. :)

Going into the final 5 days of the winter window, it seems that there is still much business to do at the Albion after Gomez joining and his international teammate Enciso leaving on loan to Ipswich.

In terms of departures, Ferguson is still being linked with a loan out but players such as Lamptey. Turns and Peupion will be out of contract in just 5 months, there could be some new contracts or departures.

Lots of rumours about incomings but these ‘top five’ seem to be getting the most bandwidth:

1. El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB)
2. Stefanos Tzimas (FWD)
3. Eiran Cashin (LCB)
4. Sverre Nypan (CM)
5. Yun Do-young (Winger)

I highly doubt Evan is going anywhere this window. He hasnt been able to prove his fitness within the transfer window. Doubt many clubs would now want to take the risk.

You'd think, but it does sound like there's a lot of interest and I get the idea that's he's pushing for a move.

Easy for you to say but seemingly impossible for FH to admit this in each press conference when he is asked specifically about the rumours.

The fact that so many clubs are being linked with Ferguson demonstrates how highly thought of he still is despite injury and loss of form.

This obviously extends to our club who realise that only a long run of games at a top club will give him the chance to regain his best level. We can’t ask FH to put him ahead of Pedro, Welbeck or Georginio when at the present time, he is behind these players in fitness and form.

I would guess that his fitness is there or there abouts but that we’re not going to risk anything this window that could scupper his potential loan.
The deciding factors are surely how much we’ll be getting for the loan fee alongside our signing of his replacement (Tzimas Time).

I’d be very surprised if he spends the rest of the season either on the 1st team bench or in the U21 team.

I don't enjoy saying this but taking Evan on loan at the moment feels more likely to weaken rather than strengthen any rivals.

So is he injured or not?
Why would any club sign an injured player?

If the injury is only expected to keep him out for 1-2 more weeks, I can see why a club might take a half-season loan of an injured player.

It is a risk, but I’d assume that the club loaning the player would perform their own medical as part of the deal.

El Hadji Diouf? Wasn't that the homophobic prat at Leeds who got sent off at the Amex?

Yep, he needs Mason Greenwood to show him the ropes for being a 'pwoppah' PL footballer. Quite a lot of potential for that in Marseilles, I understand...............................
