If this is on, there's no way Rushworth is off to Ipswich. Wonder what the plan is.


Competition for Walton? Or as a no.2, with Rushworth still in their sights?

More likely the former, I think - we seem to forget very easily that Walton was a very good young goalkeeper too.

Reports that the deal to Ipswich fell through as we only offered a loan deal and Ipswich wanted to buy.
Pleased that he’s been retained and so be it, if we loan out for another season. Succession planning for Bart.
There is always a fee that would have been accepted. Maybe 'Silly Money' but Ipswich just wouldn't meet it :shrug:

Ipswich signing of Muric confirmed (BBC) so Rushworth not going there then (and no, Ipswich haven't got an update!) Pity in a way - a loan to a PL club would have been excellent for his career development, and to prepare him for our first team.
Perhaps there's another lower PL club needing a decent keeper for a season?

Well yes, but I don't think we should send him to Palace.
