Only 97%? What happened?
Unfortunately several of the higher buildings have been damaged recently by Ukranian drones so there's a backlog

Wonderful. Won’t alter the result of course, but great to see worldwide publicity to show that inspite of the internal PR machine not everyone in Russia supports Putin. Well done to those brave refuseniks
Just incredible levels of bravery.

Pause and think about these people when people say to you that Russia is gone forever. There is another Russia in there. It's putin who is the bastard here.

One reply says one refinery is 730 miles from the Ukrainian border...just wow 👏🏼.

And, somebody help me here because I'm no engineer, I assume the drone operators need to know the exact target within the refinery? or is it easy 🤔 anywhere will do?
Not sure your drone will reach Moscow (from Wiltshire) without a few stops for re fuelling……… yet

Regarding the distance, I read somewhere that the Samara region is nearer to Kazakhstan than Ukraine. I also read somewhere that 'Russians' were suspected of operating the drones, on behalf of Ukraine. (No idea if that is true, or likely, or neither).

Regarding the exact target within the refinery, I saw a tweet that suggested that an earlier attack had hit the most important part of the refinery which, upon googling it, appears to be:

'The Crude Unit is the Primary Processing Unit in an Oil Refinery where in Crude Oil is separated into various products depending on the relative volatility of the Hydrocarbon components.'

P.S. Apologies for the multiple 'I read somewhere' sources of info, but that is what it's like. I read a lot and then forget where I saw it. (y)

Just want to offer my congratulations to Vladimir Putin on winning this weekend's Russian election with 97% of the vote.
Oooh, good news for me - I'd heard he was favourite so lumped a grand on him to win and I got exceptional odds.
If he does manage to scrape a victory, I stand to win ... errr ....
