Potter has no chance.
Alonso favourite and he will know that the Madrid job comes up regularly so can do it later in his career.
This has happened too early for De Zerbi so see it as good news for us.

I wonder who we have lined up as a replacement. If he goes then I expect he would want Pervis, Mitoma and JPVH to go with him.

This is going to be hard work.

Just appoint Alonso.

I simply don't believe Potter has done enough to even be spoken about in the boardroom up there. He's so not Liverpool.

It's not just Klopp retiring he's taking some of his backroom staff with him.

Perhaps he's eyeing up the German job sometime soon?
The German job is available in the summer as Nagelsmann is only doing it till the Euro's but Klopp seemed adamant in that interview that he's taking a year off. Maybe Nagelsmann will do it for another year and then Klopp take over.

I've been told by someone I've never known to be wrong about Liverpool that I can pet my house on Pep Lijnders to get the job. Apparently he's Klopp's anointed one (although I guess that doesn't necessarily mean the Liverpool board will go along with it)

Interesting. I have read various articles recently that he has been taking on more and more control at Liverpool over the last season or two. Would be a huge risk for a club of that stature though. I'm never a fan of an assistant or coach with no real managerial experience taking on a job of that size. I know Liverpool did it successfully a few times in the past but that was a long time ago.

Liverpool have said he's leaving the club as 'vacating his position'.

Of course they could appoint him to a new position (i.e. replacing Klopp).

Or RDZ to Liverpool, Lijinders to Brighton as head coach?

It'll be Alonso though, surely?
