Plucky underdogs whose presence in Germany will enrich the tournament? And send Croatia to the playoffs?

Or when have the Welsh ever wanted England to do well in anything, so will be highly amusing to see them suffering tonight and beyond?

I'm just glad it’s not us in this predicament ….. !

Ever since that video of Bale and co cackling in delight at England losing, I've wished ill on them. I'm happy for Scotland to do well but for me, the Wales lot have gone from plucky underdogs deserving of my support, to over-entitled twats in a very short space of time.

Towering Wales striker Kieffer Moore says he "can't wait" to knock England out of the World Cup in Qatar.

Wales open their campaign against the United States on Monday, 21 November (19:00 GMT).
Manager Robert Page's side then face Iran four days later, and complete the group stage against neighbours England on Tuesday, 29 November.

Former England C cap Moore says "it would be amazing" to put the country of his birth out of the tournament.

They can feck off

I must say I’ve lost any love I had for them over the last few years. Those examples you quote above, Bale giving the England fans 2 fingers at Lens, Welsh rugby fans on numerous occasions don’t disguise their feelings about England, I’ve even been called something not nice in Cardiff at an Ashes test wearing an England (and Wales!) cricket shirt!

Only last week one of my Welsh colleagues piled in about England, despite working and studying here, but hasn’t softened them at all.

So I started by quite liking them, I’m afraid I wish them a calamitous exit now. But we all know they’ll qualify in the playoffs anyway and will be drawn against us so we can see all those lovely red, green and yellow bucket hats and listen to the songs they’ve pinched off us!

(Just to put in context, I have met a lot of lovely Welsh people over the years, my comments apply only to their football and rugby teams and a % of their supporters, nothing else!!)

Bollocks to them all and their ABE thinking. 'Brave' Scotland will be as shit as always.

Well quite, and England players aren't twats either, they're great.

My granddaughter is proudly Welsh - born in Bridgend of English parents. I’d be happy for them to do well for her sake.
Happy to see Scotland do well if Billy Gilmour is involved, and one of Mrs DiS’s favourite Saints players is Stuart Armstrong.
But Scott MacTominay can go boil His head!

If they really do hate us, the best way I can think of to annoy them is to patronisingly support them - showing that in no way do we seem them as rivals, or of note at all.

Go Wales!!

I love the Welsh. Their confidence in Lens, 2016 and then in Qatar and seeing their sad little faces after will live with me for a LONG time
