Let me guess (I'm new to NSC)....we lost horribly today and people are looking for an escape goat.

Is it 'sack the board'?

I'm enjoying the season and have a nice glass of red, red wine.

It is what it is.
No, no, no! - not an escape goat. The process doesn't work if the goat escapes! Everybody knows it's a scraped goat that is needed to restore wellbeing and calm.

Admittedly, it doesn't end well for the goat.............................

Don't you mean a scraped goal?

Or six?

Can't fathom out wht RDZ threw this teenager into midfield alongside not a much older player alongside him with international players on the bench ? we were very lightweight

I don’t get the focus on JH, numerous senior players put on their clown shoes today and made goal conceding errors yet we highlight the young guy? No - groupthinking rubbish

Did OK but overall the team need to be better balanced in order to blood promising youngsters. The PL is a difficult place to start a professional career in football.

He wasn’t bad, he wasn’t great either. It wasn’t the best game for a debut and he and Gilmour were a bit thrown under the bus by De Zerbi, they were never going to be able to match McGinn, Luiz and Kamara.

Didn’t watch the game but Warren and Johnny said he was just about the only positive thing that came out of the game. Composed and tidy.
They kind of have to say that. I think most people feel sorry for the kid, he was sent to the lions yesterday.

As I said on another thread he looks like a cross between alzate and Ollie Norwood. He will definitely forge a decent career at a top championship club like sheff utd or Leeds but if we have ambitions of top 10 every season he should be nowhere near our team.

I just don't see the raw attributes for him to 'come good' no pace , no strength , short , too safe. Whereas as a player like Baleba may have had a poor game Vs Chelsea and is raw but oozes star quality.

Well he was.

Found space pushed on, wasn’t intimidated, tidy with his passing, I’m surprised about those writing him off….

Edit - actually perhaps I’m not 😃

Didn’t hear his name once on on the TS commentary. Such a strange game to start him in though.

Have we just signed £27m worth of not ready for two seasons in Beleba ? because we are a club who really aren’t at that level yet and needed someone who can play.

Indeed, it is what it is, however, your assumption has missed the green entirely. Generally the NSC autopsy has been looking at the overall failures of the day rather than trying to pin it on one specific SCAPE goat.

Surprised to hear that, especially from Warren.
Hinsh wasn’t an outlet for the defence. He had very little influence on the game.
He did about as well as you’d expect for a teenager in the development squad fringes. I’d bet half a dozen of the dev squad could have done similar.
That is fine, and it’s early days, but to suggest he was something special is a bit silly.

Did alright I thought. I could name a good few reasons we lost 6 goals, but he wasn't one of them.

Like Buononotte, flashes of his obvious talent, but a bit early in his development to be mixing it with hardened PL midfielders

Not exactly a high bar seeing as the rest seemed to be hanging from a heavy night on the drink, but along with Pedro he was our best player.
