Hinshelwood has had encouraging performances, maybe he played things safe but he's an 18 (or 19?) year old playing his first professional performances in defensive midfield, so it isn't surprising. RDZ must see something in him to have him involved ahead of all the other youngsters. Not yet stood out, but there's plenty of time for that.

Something also to bear in mind when discussing young players and the youth teams in particular - Remember that they are more susceptible to online criticism and more likely to be reading this forum than their older more experienced colleagues. 18 year olds today live on social media.

Maybe but no one under 54 reads NSC.

I'd like to see him on loan in the Championship to see what he is made of.

Thought he did OK, kept our momentum up well

Whilst I agree with your general point I reckon Hinshelwood is going to get nothing but positive vibes on NSC. He's not just a local lad, he's a local lad that's come through the academy system since he was 7 and is the son of a former Albion player. He has the Albion in his blood. There is/will be a lot of good will for him.

I, and I suspect most of the rest of NSC, would love it if he was able to make it with us. He could be the next Dunk.

One of the biggest positives I took from our defeat at Stamford Bridge was the 28 mins of watching substitute Jack Hinshelwood.
He looked very confident, was always looking for the ball and produced some very neat passing.
I think with players like Pascal Gross and Adam Lallana to mentor him that we're going to see a lot more of him.
He could well become a regular on our Premier League bench with a few more cameo appearances to slowly build his experience in the near future.
Young Jack looks top quality.
I like what I've seen of him too. Think he's got more about him than Buonanotte at the moment.

Even if he only reads occassionally he will know that most of what Dwayne writes should be ignored

Surely there are a few fishing expeditions going on. Hinshelwood, did well for me, and a couple of times was making some Gross type runs into the box.

He was tidy in possession and fitted in really well.

Lots of potential IMO.

I’m not sure what people are expecting , he’s not going to be an instant world class defender after just breaking through . It takes time & games in the PL. we are doing extremely well at the moment but I feel some people’s expectations are crazy high and unrealistic . If we had paid £75m for him from Real Madrid perhaps we could expect him to be brilliant right from the off .
