It's been an incredible weekend. Landing Barca's no 10, first ever Europa League draw and landing three huge ties, then yesterday booking my first ever travel for a Brighton European away day and stuffing the barcodes 3-1 before home for more beer, cheese and a win for CEJ in the boxing.

Hoping Palace lose today to make it a singing the blues weekend almost feels greedy. And they're bound to be confident having swooped to land the mighty Rob Holding for £4 million on deadline day,

Phew, volume control still works. No droning will come from my TV this afternoon. Come on Wolves, beat those lucky prats.

Just seen the city second goal

How was that allowed?
.
Looked like Fulham seriously considered just walking off
You see this is my biggest problem with VAR, as highlighted on MOTD last night, the ones they get wrong that are SOOOO obvious.
The only possible reason that i can see why that goal was allowed was that the lino had not raised his flag (though only he and god knows why he did not) and VAR did not want to embarrass him. I mean what else could it be? (brown envelopes aside obviously!)

You missed Sanchez, Moises and Colwill losing whilst Gilmour was MoM in a game without a hattrick and Lamptey seemed back to his pacey best. We should have a statue of Todd's trousers, we have pulled them down so many times.

Also, in what world is Villa v Liverpool on at the same time and yet Sky go with Palace Wolves? That is a quota game if ever I saw one and week 4 seems a bit soon for that.

Liverpool v Villa was moved to Sunday as Villa had Conference play-off v Hibernian on Thursday.

That was the aim. But imho:

Pens are being unfairly awarded where an arm is in a completely natural place in the fast paced moment in time.

Then the subjective bit. Some are, some aren’t. With an unconscious bias at times in not wanting to unleash a storm of the decision costing a club with media mates.
absolutely this.
There is also a more common bias, as to whether the decision will alter the most likely result.
The Luton one was a case in point.
West Ham have been in control, plucky outsider can nab a draw if I award this.

Similarly Michael Oliver in our game vs Brentford last season.
we had come back to get a draw with 1 VAR penalty, no chance we would be given a 2nd to win it. He waved away an absolute stone wall "hand away from the body" penalty. Shearer dismissed it with the "proximity" argument, which has nothing to do with the laws, since "deliberate" was removed.

1 shot, 1 goal.

Liverpool lead Aston Villa with a goal by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 3rd minute.
