I was catching up on the Calciomercato news for my Italian team Lecce and there was a news article linking Brighton to Hjulmand.

He's a great player but there doesn't seem like anything concrete about the rumour yet.

Translation -

The midfielder is fine in Lecce even if he has never hidden his dream of playing in the Premier League
While the dialogues between Lecce and Sporting Lisbon are experiencing a moment of stalemate, Gazzetta.it signals a new inclusion among the many teams that in these hot (literally and metaphorically) summer months have asked the Salento for information about Morten Hjulmand. We are talking about Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton, called to flesh out his midfield after a heavy farewell like that of the Argentine Mac Allister.

No offer, as well as no concrete offer has been received from Milan and Lazio, the other teams that have expressed their approval

We were linked back in February by Calciomercato, alongside West Ham. Southampton made a bid for him in January that was turned down.

Most similar player to him according to FB ref is Palace’s Cheik Doucoure who we were strongly linked to last summer.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

His Squawka per 90 stats Comparison with Caicedo last season is fairly good. But looking at his showreel, he does go to ground more and looks less controlled.

But Chelsea fans have told us that they’ve already signed our ideal & only Caicedo replacement and will therefor be forced to lower the fee we want!!

We should go for this guy (or a similar type) with or without Moises. Moises is the only true defensive midfielder we have
I agree.

We look wide open to me when we don't have caicedo in midfield Sometimes that doesn't matter because we dominate the ball and therefore the game but other times it can go to shit very quickly la Everton and Newcastle at yhe end of the season.

Bit of a monster tackler, playing man first before the ball, and will need a good understudy for when he’s suspended. Promising though if we have to replace Cac.

Looks good, if a little reckless, as a ball winner. How's his awareness and ability to receive the ball in tight spaces?

Looks very decent indeed, very strong. When (and I do think when) Moises goes this is certainly the sort of player we'd need to fill that disrupter role.
