I have a couple.
My grandad and Ross Johnson's grandad worked together in the early 1970s (before either Ross or I was born). Ross and I went to infant school together for a year or so too and were quite good friends when we were about 6 years old.
In 1997 Malcolm Stuart lived a few doors away from where I worked, I got my ticket for the last game at the Goldstone through him.

Many years ago, when the old Seagull Lottery used to drawn at places around the county, they held the draw at the Beecham Club where my Dad was a member. I was probably about 13 or 14 years old. After the draw, I ended up playing darts with John Gregory and Steve Foster. Fonzie told me that if I hit the bull I three darts, I could keep ‘his’ darts. By some fluke, I hit the bull with my third dart and I was presented with a set of darts belonging to my hero. My dad said he would look after them to keep them safe.
When we got home, I excitedly asked my dad to give me the darts at which point he had to tell me that darts belonged to the Beecham Club and he had to give them back when we left.

I also went to school with Ross Johnson. I think he transferred in from some other school, so I'm guessing it was after he left the school where you knew him.

How soon is now?
I play in a decidedly average pub band, and met Dan Hardings wife at one of our gigs. She came to a number of our gigs at this same pub and made a point of saying hello. Very much an ex-footballers wife
Stuart Tuck used to train with the under 13’s team I played with when he was 10 or 11, and clearly hold his own even then. His brother played, and captained this team.
And lastly, until he signed for Arsenal in January Leandro Trossard lived over the road. Never saw him or the family again after he left the Albion
