(I might be paraphrasing)

"Brighton sets the course. But I am absolutely open to a second year of Vitesse. Also, because the club is going to start the road up again. There are talks between Brighton and Vitesse. I don't like the Championship. That's so physical. So much brute force. No way. The Premier League suits me. Vitesse too. That has become clear to me. And if I stay, of course Vitesse will definitely get better, hahaha."

I've no objection to what he's saying, but my observation is that sometimes developing and improving is about facing your weaknesses rather than looking for an environment that will accentuate your strengths.

To make it in the PL will require physicality. Maybe the lad should test himself. The club will get it right.

Just a quick one, the article says Eredivisie and it's automatically translated it to the premier league. But sounds like he wants another year here in NL.

I would hope we would place him somewhere better than Vitesse in any case.

Tbf, he has been recently linked with Bayern and Man City, so can't blame him for not wanting to play in the Championship.
Has he? Blimey! Maybe TB and co are waiting for Chelsea Todd to come in with a £99m bid over the summer for him!

If Bayern or Citeh (or even Real Betis) want to pay £5-10M for him (with quite a lot of potential add-ons, just in case he turns out to be really good) then let him go. Otherwise, loan him straight out to the Championship (or League 1) to give him a view of reality. If he wants to play in the PL, but doesn't want to 'do' physical, he's got a shock coming!

Moises, Mac, Mitoma, Enciso, Buonanotte and Undav didn't need loans in the Championship to give them a view of reality.

I’m sure RDZ will want a look at him up close first? Or maybe he’s seen enough on videos to sanction another loan. High hopes for this one. I think ‘links to Bayern and City’ is tenuous at best @albionalex - there’s so much made up crap out there these days…!

Signs for a second season on loan at Vitesse. A little disappointing he didn’t get a chance in pre season

Disappointing, IMHO. Championship too rough? - tough, it's the next step in your learning curve, young man - the PL isn't like the Eredivise either. Plus, if you're going to play in the PL, maybe it's time to learn about life in England.
Instead, he appears to have wanted to continue in his nice job at Vitesse, and has been allowed to take the easy option. Just my opinion, of course.

At the end of this season he only has two years left on his contract unless there’s a 12 month option.
Another 12 months at Vitesse and hopefully he can be pushing for a starting place next season.
One of the reasons he said he wanted to come to us was that he wanted to play. Well, so far we’ve let him do that.

Most reports say he was bang average in the Netherlands and there is a massive step from being bang average in the Eredivisie to playing a role in our current team. Another loan was always happening.
