Greg Garcia has a Covid themed comedy.

Only 10 mins in and it's VERY Garcia, which is fine by me - very funny.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - starring Nic Cage as Nic Cage! is now on Prime.

So is Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Last night I watched an Ian Cognito retrospective which is well worth a look.
The Ricky Grover anecdote alone is worth the entrance fee.

The weapons grade parody that is Jeremy Clarkson is back with his second series of Farm.

I'm guessing in light of recent events it'll also be the last series, which is a shame as the Stats do rather enjoy this once he loses the bluster.

So is this a recommendation or not?

They'd already signed up for 3 series, so there'll be at least 1 more in the pipe (its already been confirmed its going ahead).

Hopefully by then, all this tedious pathetic shite over Markle will have blown over and we can all get on with our lives without being absolutely terrified of OFFENDING someone.

If S2 is half as good as S1, then it'll be essential viewing in Easy Towers. I've already read the Diddly Squat S2 book. He has a cow that wants to kill him.

There's offending and then there's what he wrote.

Not very pleasant, or particularly clever. But the way it gets SEIZED upon, and everyone runs around getting offended in a feeding frenzy until he resigns / gets sacked / head on a pike outside the Tower of London is (IMO) one of the more tedious aspects and side effects of social media.

It was just an opinion piece, he's spent his entire career writing bollocks and taking the piss out of people, its hardly to be taken seriously. Its not like he came out as a holocaust denier. But we are where we are.

I don't disagree.
JC loves, and has made a career out of, stepping over the line.

Don't know what prompted this one, and I don't really care, but do think instead of stepping he drove across the line at 200mph, not really bothering to brake.

Is it not tedious for a well paid loudmouth to SEIZE on all the fuss about Meghan and pile on?

He's a dinosaur, he knows it, and he revels in it. Instead of the grovelling apology, I kind of wish he'd come out swinging with something like "FFS you bunch of rancorous sandled Guardianista IMBECILES, it was a newspaper column taking the piss out of a cossetted, vacuous, permanently-offended BINT. Not a literal call to arms to have her stripped and driven through the streets having shit flung at her. I mean REALLY?"

Perhaps an editor could've stepped in I suppose. But this will be a very tedious world if we can't say anything nasty about someone. I say this as someone who had his Twitter account suspended for 48 hours, for replying to a missive by Jacob Rees-Mogg suggesting that he go and "boil his head" (this apparently constituted encouraging someone to "self harm").

Maybe I was just born in the wrong decade.

No, not really. Is it not tedious for us to SEIZE on the SEGW and pile on ? Or must we all tug our forelocks and only write nice things about people ?

Back in the day when I used to dabble on the Palace BBS away end, I called one of their residents a "catastrophic felching cockspangle", and got reported to the mods by the recipient. Did I regret it ? Nope. Sticks and stones, and all that.

So surely Clarkson can take the pile on?

I rather wish I hadn't opened this can of worms.
Feels rather incongruous on what is essentially an 'escapism' thread.
