Yes it was Saturday I think but not sure on the exact words. I’ve heard him say he doesn’t really get involved with transfers to a degree before and seem quite happy for others to do it.
He said in the press conference after Liverpool that if Caicedo stayed he was happy with the squad. The club know his thoughts on where we need to strengthen but he has nothing to do with transfers.

Pretty sure my hangover at work on Monday was due to the game being played on Sunday :)

I'm not trying to join in the shit-stirring by the troll but he clearly said he wanted more players:

I think he is such a passionate guy that he was feeling as despondent as the rest of us about the MC saga at the time (and the attempted assassination of Ferguson), so if he is anything like me he will be as happy as Larry today and probably skipping around Lancing whistling a happy tune.

Getting a ball playing, left footed CB would have been the icing on the cake, but that would have made it a perfect transfer window and we can never have perfect can we...

Ah you’re right. Surprised he was that clear. Maybe he was worried of Moises going. Think we will ‘back him’ more in the Summer!

Anyone remember that summer Russell Slade was constantly being linked with Real Madrid?

Thought not - just enjoy the ride, folks.

If you think he's so upset with Brighton for not signing players that he'll leave, Juventus would be the last place to go to change that. Becoming increasingly likely that they'll be facing an embargo at best. What a bunch of rubbish.

Lets not delude ourselves. He'd go. He's an Italian and its Juventus FFS, on a lot more money and European football.

Potter and even Mr Brighton Bruno jumped at Chelsea who are a basketcase

An Italian coaching staff with 9 months in Sussex would not turn that down.

Thats why a new long term contract with high buy out (like Potter) is needed.
Don't think they're getting European football next season, they're currently 13th in the table. Their issues could take a while to sort out

ofc but thats because of 15 point deduction this season, without that theyd be tied with 3 teams on 3rd-5th place on 38 points. Looks like theyll miss out this season due to deduction, but should be there next again you'd think?

Probably, but then again there will be fines, maybe a transfer embargo, would be surprised if these issues are swept away that quickly.

I think it would be rather ‘entitled’ of us to think RDZ had no other offers to consider before signing with Brighton (even though he was the only one we spoke to) or an insult to RDZ we would find it shocking that he is (has been for years) getting interests from Series A Italian clubs and likely other PL and European clubs too.

He definitely had other options. He was very close to joining Bologna before we approached him. He was also on Southamptons radar to potentially replace Hasenhuttl (luckily for us they didn’t pull the trigger too soon). Couple of other clubs were also loosely interested.

He has been saying that since October - all managers are children in sweet shops 🙂

I agree he’s ‘passionate’ but I would be very surprised if the MC drama (or the Tross drama) effected him enough for any despondence about that to spill out into a presser. He was really calm and level headed throughout the Tross drama and while admitting loosing MC could jeopardise our challenge for Europe, he also said in a later more pragmatic response, that he was ‘prepared’ for the team to play on without him.. suggesting no one is indispensable.

In terms of buying in, he is not the ‘Chairman’ as he has pointed out and he’s been here before at Sassuolo (managing a top tier team on a tight budget) so would already have understood what the transfer parameters would be at the time Brighton interviewed him and taken that on board before taking the job. I am not worried that he’s newly discovered a ‘hidden’ intransigence with the Club when it comes to buying in.

My personal impression of RDZ‘s mood in the post-match presser and on the pitch was that it was more to do with the level of football on Saturday and with Liverpool’s shitehousery (but that’s maybe me projecting!) we did not play the smooth, ground- passing football we’ve seen recently (we lost possession too quickly, had gaps in our defence and were obviously weak in MF without Moises (and Lallana) so our transition pick ups from the back was patchy at times which are a central key in De Zerbiism). The attacks on Mackie and Fergie were red-card atrocious (RDZ is very protective of his players as we’ve seen from the touchline in the past) he looked concerned about having to take off Webster so early - also he looked furious at the length of time it took for VAR to review Mitoma’s goal. Just a tough day at the office.

RDZ would disagree though that we can’t have ‘perfect ’ in terms of the football - “We can be perfect, no?” 😉
I thought he always says we can never be perfect but we should try to be

Neither here nor there
RDZ is the kind of manager I never thought Brighton would have again, after Poyet. He's obviously going to be a lot less restrained in interviews than Hughton or Potter and he clearly wears his heart on his sleeve.

I agree we should just enjoy the ride and see where it takes us all. I'm sure RDZ appreciates that he now has access to one of the most sophisticated recruitment networks in the world of football and the days of simply handing the chairman a wish-list of transfer targets are long gone ... at least at Brighton. I expect some sparks to fly at times. Hopefully nothing beyond that.

But you haven't stated anything controversial. Your post history is pretty much:

- Undav is rubbish, which you posted at a time he was going through a personal tragedy.
- We need to sign Ben Brereton Diaz after we failed to score at Charlton. Since when we've scored 21 goals in 6 games without Diaz.
- I believe an eight day old article by the Daily Mail's janitor's cat proves I was right about the first two items.
If it makes you happy your right, then your right - you always are anyway by the sounds of it. You are so far up your own a**e its unreal. Go and ban me again mate and continue to comment on my posts, that what your good at. Your an absolute disgrace of a moderator. Going around, accusing people of being trolls, being aggressive, antagonising, calling people "Idiots" etc etc. What you always doing on here anyway - do you have a job/life?

Oh do f*** off kid. Reading your posts you’re clearly not BHA or just a complete spoilt brat fan who doesn’t understand the club, let alone the rivalry with the scum.
jeez, says it all :)
