And, as stated, if you had read my earlier (too many!) posts on exactly the Spanish club’s interest in Tross, or been aware of Atletico’s previous interest, you wouldnt have mistaken who I was referring to. But it’s all still rumours and speculation where and when Tross is going I fully admit!

What we need is two or three clubs chasing him. That’s when you can maximise the valuation. I’d be surprised if there aren’t at least two EPL clubs ‘at the table’ already, Newcastle and Spuds. Hopefully some foreign teams will pitch in as well. I think we can get over £30m if these clubs really want him.

I may be in minority but I dont think media is place for a manager to be bringing up a players lack of effort. Should be dealt with in house. If player leaves that is time to disclose if he wants to. Sad it ends this way. It has been obvious for a while that he was leaving. Very odd behaviour by his agent.

Let’s hope this has a similar impact to when abamyuang was made to train on his own then shifted on at arsenal when he wasn’t following the rules at arsenal about 12 months ago.

I am sure he will enjoy warming a bench at a club like he did for the important matches at the World Cup. On his day he is fantastic (normally against big sides) but when he isn’t on it he is dreadful!
