The problem for Trossard is that he is no longer a certain starter for the team, As RDZ indicated in his Liverpool press conference, the team is now 17,18 strong given the younger players who have shown they can play at this level.
Given the money generated from the summer sales, and the stronger squad, the club can still flourish with Trossard out of the matchday squad.
RDZ has been excellent in conveying his requirements 100% is required all the time, both physically and mentally which has seen a stronger belief within the squad given the buy in from all (other than Trossard it would seem).
Winning teams have this ingrained, and RDZ seems a winner.
Maybe RDZ is too honest in his press conferences, but I find this refreshing rather than the bland statements that are repeated at each interview by some.
TB will win, TB and PB will back RDZ, the only loser would seem to be Trossard as his position when dealing with a new club would seem to be now from a weaker position, in terms of wages, etc.

The no dickheads rule is alive and well.

Personally I trust RDZ in this, we could all see how half arsed his perfromances were, then all this nonsense culminating in the agent statement saying he needs to leave immediately (which just so happens to randomly coincide with his stated desire pre world cup).

So this headline from Evening Standard (on back of agents statement) is both damaging and misleading to the club and RDZ imho.

This is the defamatory result of selfish tw*ttish actions.

Posting a sportsmole story as fact is pretty stupid. Athletico have never said they are interested it's just a stupid rumour. Or am I missing something?

Don’t think I was really stating the stories were facts just that several sources reported that they had declared an interest in getting Tross on a free transfer back in October - which is a fact!

It's just one more media gimp outfit jumping on a story that has had more bounces than Razor Ruddocks gut.

Err, I was replying to Guiness Boy not you, I have no idea what youre talking about, or what you mentioned?

maybe go back read yourself first before making innacurate replies and getting precious.
And I was responding to what appeared to be a sarcastic pile on to GB‘s post mocking my suggestion that Madrid (A) was interested.

forget it - life’s too short for silly communication issues 🙂

Let’s just see how it all pans out eh? Not a good situation for the Club though.

I just hope the rest of the squad have not been distracted by this little soap opera. I guess it depends on how popular he was.
Beating Everton 4-1 away and Boro 5-1 away suggests not…

It all seems contradictory - RDZ’s take and Trossard’s take on it. Inclined to believe the manager obviously - as long as this doesn’t become a habit.

Sad to end things like this seemingly.

It was Lallana, I was told this morning. Not happy with Trossards efforts in training.
He had to be protected from himself when he was at Southampton - absolutely obsessive trainer, always giving 100% regardless of the drill/kickabout or whatever, first there, last to leave etc etc. Can certainly see him having zero tolerance for anyone not pulling their weight, and he’s clearly one of/the most senior voices in the squad, immensely respected by (most of) the other players.

Just another spin on this - it's obvious from RDZ's press conference that his comments are not normally the norm for our club, let alone most clubs. But if this has been going on for weeks, TB has probably sanctioned those comments (I doubt RDZ would do it off the cuff) so it was most definitely stage managed to get the first shot in before Trossard and his team get in first.

It appears that our PR team are much better than Trossard's - you only have to read their statement to realise that.

What I do think is this is all part of another TB strategy and he is rarely wrong from previous experience - like all things, trust the process and the management team.

Probably just easier to specify the club, rather than just saying "Madrid". I didn't know which one you were talking about.

You tell me

Probably not this one - ‘freelance journalist’ and tag in some big corporations - mmmm.
I wouldn’t pass off anything from journalists as fact personally.
There’s ‘turning down’ and ‘not agreeing’ to here which are 2 phrases that affectively mean the same thing. It’s also easy for the agent to say ‘he was open to sign a new deal but couldn’t agree’ isn’t it - with all that’s happened now. Seems the same line / source this ‘journalist’ has been given…

Sadly, I do think that Leo is probably one of the most skillful players I have seen at the Albion in 50+ years.

Even more sadly (particularly for Leo), he is only a part of what is DEFINITELY the strongest Albion squad ever.

:bigwave:

And a tip for Leo. With what you're paying you really should be able to get an Agent who could put together a better case

whatever the rights and wrongs a great shame. Unlike your Welbeck ,Undav and Fergrsons players like Trossard who is two footed and and can beat a player in the box through trickery is very hard to find
