I've abandoned the trip now, pretty dodgy conditions by all accounts around Tunbridge Wells / east of Brighton.

Still need to get to Burgess Hill or Worthing tomorrow - as early as is safe - so hoping for early morning sun to bath the icy tarmac.

I’d expect the main roads to be fine….side roads on hills then maybe a bit suspect

I think there will be no threat of snow tonight near the coast of Sussex looking at the BBC forecast
I did see some wintry flakes earlier in the day in Worthing and also sleet that seemed to stay slushy on the ground due to the temperature. Probably the closest of a major snow event down here for a few years.

Taza is ok, Naasta is where Shapla used to be but only do takeaway now, and are excellent
