What about doing it, and insisting on wearing this t shirt throughout?

personally wouldnt go there, or anywhere with such draconian laws. but each to their own. lots of people get paid to work in Qatar and neighbours all the time and no one makes a fuss about that.

i wonder though if it indicates how few tickets are being sold?

I have very little desire for this World Cup but can understand it is a great, one-off, opportunity for some to visit a part of the world they've never seen and have a nice sunny holiday watching football in November - we are asking a lot for people who want to go and spend their money on global football's showpiece when their non-attendance would make no difference whatsoever in reality.

That, of course, is very different than engaging directly with the regime in Qatar and getting pocket money and free tickets to paint untruths back at home (and globally). It is an absolute disgrace that people would even think about selling themselves to this and genuinely quite difficult to believe anyone would put themselves forward for that.

I might just say yes, take the tickets, and then just not go, thus ensuring that there is at least one empty seat in the stadium.

I certianly wouldn't go, and I won't be watching either.
