It will almost certainly backfire on us as they dismantle the Albion.

It could be a fantastic day, a seriously depressing one or a damp squib of a draw, but we’ll learn lessons and move on. It is what it is

All personal choice, the grown ups will politely clap him, bow down and thank him for the football we played and be totally accepting of the rape and pillage of the club. Just business apparently. Some will ignore him but I hope the majority give him shit as his departure has been pretty classless imo.

I expect Harty to have a hand written banner asking for his gilet.

Is it illegal to throw a pie at someone?

Would be so satisfying.

The zaha pie incident was great entertainment.

Up until the Paul Winstanley news, I would have been quiet, or maybe even given an uninterested few claps. Now ?

BOOOooooooo

No. He’s left and he joined - because Albion have a set up that means - we’re ok if you leave to progress your career. We won’t like it, and we’ll expect ££, but that’s the right set up and to be expected whether you’re Dan Ashworth , Ben White, Bruno or Graham Potter.

And it’s only happening recently because the club is in a good place. A symptom of success.

It’s annoying and frustrating and I wish he and the others was still here / but it’s not a surprise. It’s football. We buy players and poach staff all the time.

PS a bit if booing is just panto - fine - but some of the stuff on here and elsewhere is getting a bit out of hand. It’s raw now but Graham will go down as one of our greatest ever managers.

The only issue I have with this is that it is all happening with more or less one other club. Now they want Winstanley too. I'd respectfully say 'f*** off' (to Chelsea that is.)

Is it ? Dan Ashworth went to Newcastle, Bissouma to Spurs, a really promising youth player in the summer went to Man United. Theses ins/outs happen all the time.
We poached Barber from Spurs, Potter’s team from Swansea, and our young players from all over. This victim stuff is a bit much.

No way I would applaud him.
Ignore is my preference, with an over-the-top De Zerbi love in, instead.

Potter did a decent job and helped earn a lot of money for the club.
Left with the job half done and revoked his right to any appreciation from us at that point.

I would like to be able to acknowledge Bruno though.
A quick round of his chant during the warm-up, would be a classy touch.

Hardly the same scale as the Chelsea rape and pillage.

Name me another PL club where they have taken 7 (counting PW) management room staff from another PL club in the history of the PL?

Utter scum.

Not a chance, got us playing the best football I've ever seen in 50 years, got a better job offer and moved on, that's it,in football, managers are rewarded for failure when owners decide to bin them, then pay them huge amounts in contract settlement s it's refreshing to see one rewarded for his success.

I just hope we smash the granny out of Chelsea and save all my boos for VAR.
But that suggests the best football we've seen in 50 years was all down to him. It wasn't, it was a team effort from the board to the recruitment to the players to the coaching staff. All important cogs that got us to that position. Then Potter fucks off 6 games into a season, letting down all the other people at our club. Potter is a great manager, of course, but that alone doesn't get Brighton to 4th.

I have absolutely no problem with a manager going to a bigger, richer club to try and better himself. But do it at the end of a season if that's what you want. Leaving six games in is so disrespectful to everyone else. Very very few managers or players leave a club in the middle of a season when they're riding high. But Potter did.

I want to want to applaud him, I want to want him to be successful, but I just find it very very hard right now.

Problem with a boo is that it's hard to direct it to a specific person other than a player when he touches the ball.

Yes ins and outs happen all the time, but how many outs have we had to direct rivals (yes I know Chelsea are top 6, but still in the same division) this year?

Burn Ashworth - Saudi United
Bissouma Spurs

Cucurella
Potter
Reid
Macauley
+2 others
Bruno
Roberts
Now Winstanley -all to Chelsea

Most outs go separately one by one or even two by two
