[Misc] Young Furniture Maker of the Year

Having cleared this shameless plug with Bozza, I am here to give some publicity to an extraordinary, young furniture maker, my son, who has been shortlisted for the bespoke award at the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition this month
https://www.furnituremakers.org.uk/young-furniture-makers-exhibition/
The winners are selected by a committee of experts, no online voting and no VAR, so I'm not appealing for votes, just putting his work out there for the wider community to see.
This is his Goma storage seat that has been entered in the exhibition.
This is his website https://www.kumiko.co.uk/
He specialises in Japandi (Japanese-Scandinavian) style and Kumiko.
Thanks for your attention.

Wow. That's absolutely stunning. You should be very proud of you lad in this 'wannabe famous", produce nothing but 10 second tiktoks, social media driven society.

That's proper skilled craftsmanship at its best.

Well done that lad.

I did have an Ikea about making something today, but decided to open a shavings account instead.

Excellent work.

He'll have no problem chiselling out a living from that kind of quality, people will be barking to not like it.

Going against the grain, there will be no puns from me!

Your son certainly has an amazing talent ... good luck to him.

His work looks exceptional, very impressive.

Good luck to him, let’s hope he wins.

Out of interest, seeing as he works includes strong Japanese styles, does he use tools such as the ryoba saw or just modern tools?

He has a couple of Japanese tools that he bought at auction. I'm not sure what they are though.
