Is £19.95 excessive or now par for the course?

Greene King aren’t paying for it in the Broady as they think a live band will be more popular, Diane the landlady quoted “It’s not Fury or AJ, I dont think enough regulars are interested.”

Going out to the pub at 5, but will probably head back home with a ruby around 10 for the ring walk.

Anyone else watching?

I’m planning on watching it as I think it’ll be an interesting fight. They’re both good boxers but I’m not expecting fireworks.

It’ll be a bore draw I reckon

Put your cash on a keenly-contested but ultimately forgettable 12 rounds.
Commentators to claim it’s a heavyweight classic and a fight of the year contender.
Talk afterwards of Parker being the busier fighter, but Joyce landing the biggest punches.
Close, disputed points win for Parker. Joyce left shaking his head looking to the floor. Quiet a few boos.

I think it will be a good fight. Difficult one because I really like Joe but also a big fan of Andy Lee and excited to see how much Parker has improved so will be tough to see his fighter lose. I expect to see some big bombs landing on Joyce but the guys skull seems impenetrable.

I've said this before on ppv threads and I'll say it again. While the price in isolation may seem excessive it can be split between a number of mates if someone hosts a house party. I'm watching with my 15 year old son who is boxing, MMA and Brighton mad so that's effectively £10 each. Compare that to ringside seats and travel for the pair of us and it's peanuts. For groups of young men going together add lots of booze and a bit of packet to that instead.

This will be a good fight, can't really call it. F*** all other sport on this weekend as well. Bring it on.

(Ah, but you could get a stream you say, and, if I had IPTV I guess I could. But two of us trusting the house wifi and watching on a laptop? Nah.).

There will probably some water around. Not sure who will win 6/4 Parker seems good value. He has been Nic named Gypsy Joe after spending so much time near Tyson Fury recently.

I like Parker, narrow points win, not the most entertaining fight of the year by any means.
Would be very happy to be wrong.

I've got guaranteed river and estuary related links on point and bookmarked, not paying DAZN a penny after they backtracked on their fee structure.
HDMI from laptop to TV, easy job.

Absolutely, if you’re happy with relying on wifi speed and availability in your house and your chosen route in not getting shut down. I’m not, given the cost is two thirds of what I payed for my Wolves away ticket or less than what I’d pay on a first round if I was out with my mates.

Just a question not a dig but have you ever seen IPTV on a firestick?

People commenting about the dodgy stream have failed to see the main point.

He is charging his 15 year old to watch it with him.

Genius, that's where I have been going wrong. [emoji23]

I’m really looking forward to it. Not too invested in the undercard so far.

Is it PPV worthy? Probably not, but £19.95 won’t buy 4 pints I. The pub these days so I see it as a cheap night in!

Rooting for Joyce. 🥊

Yep. My mate has it. Watched a few lockdown games on it as he was in my bubble. Buffering, blackouts and terrible pictures at times. Not for me Clive, when I’ve got a proper 4k set up on the den.

Agreed. Fine on a laptop but a decent 4K tv with Dolby Atmos or something, pointless scrimping on the actual content

:lolol:

In much the same way as if I pay £10 for ingredients for a family meal for four it’s 2.50 per person in my head. I don’t nick their pocket money at the Tesco checkout. :moo:

I'm guessing he either had a slow wifi or had never cleared the cache on the firestick.
I agree if you want 4k quality then its not for you....but I never have problems with football or PPV events..
obviously sometimes the servers have problems but thats a chance you take.

as they say pay your money take your chance.
