At the risk of once again being told I know nothing, and how dare I question the club's acumen in selling on players, I still think Coventry got a bloody good and rather generous deal.

So there!

What do you think is a reasonable fee for a striker who at that point just had scored 3 goals in 30 appearances in the Championship?

"He's had a poor game, a quiet game, he's made poor decisions, and then, that."

That's sufficient in the championship.

So there!

A great thing hindsight, he had his chance, yet didn't exactly shine whilst wearing an Albion 1st team shirt.

Well at the moment yes. He did after all get to play a few games for us without really shining. Maybe if he continues to impress he will find himself in the Premier League one day, who knows?

If he keeps on scoring goals like that, he’ll find himself there quite soon.

He always gets a few, then goes dry for a period, scores a worldie every now and then to get this this excited.

He may well have a good sell on clause so if a Prem club did come in for him and offer £10m+ we might get far more than the original transfer fee.

Missed an absolute sitter in the first half. We have a striker at the moment that scored 25+ goals in the Championship and can’t regularly score 10+ a season in the Prem which shows what a big gulf there is

Everton rumoured to be interested.

I do hope there is a good sell-on.

There is definitely a sell-on but I can't remember if the %age was ever published or what it is.

We may get a sell on but it does appear he may be one who got away

He is a player who was never going to succeed here, not every player can break through here. He needed a permanent move to get his career started and good luck to him, he's not so far done anything to suggest he's a Premier League player but there's nothing stopping him progressing and developing in order to have a PL career.

It isn't necessarily a failure of the club if a player develops and improves after leaving us, sometimes a player will need the move in order to get the games and/or motivation they need to reach their full potential.

Everton are a desperate club, and it's very amusing. They really are a bit of a pound shop Man United, their transfer business is comedy - overpaying for average players, and a scattergun approach buying players with a good reputation just as the selling club doesn't want them, and now finally a desperate dip into a lower division for a striker who hasn't done much with his one chance in the Premier league. If he goes there, it will truly be hilarious.

He's not a bad player but is he a Premier league player? If Everton are interested in him, probably not. :lolol:

I like Viktor but I struggle to see that working out, both for him and for Everton. If he wants to play in the PL, he'd need to go somewhere to be a backup for a year... not thrown into the starting eleven of this desperate Everton side. Can't see him scoring more than five goals.

Wise words. It's true too that although he may be banging the goals in for fun at Championship level for Coventry, it doesn't necessarily follow that he will do the same thing a division higher at Everton.
