Antonio Conte is staying for at least one more year. Only to a promise of 150m kitty to persuade him.

Not sure that GP would have been tempted at the moment anyway. He's probably heard all about Levy.

Absolutely. We will be fine losing any individual player, but Potter would be catastrophic. He is one of the very best managers in the world along with Klopp and Guardiola. Absolute genius.

Yes, he is, some fans could not see that, but I think they can now.

Going by the succession planning for our best players, It wouldn’t be catastrophic if Potter left. The whole club is in good shape. At some point he will go, and we will be fine.

I don't reckon he is in a rush to leave. He'll move on at some point of course but not yet.

His incredible performance in the last few months, in terms of results, have really shone a light to everyone on just how good GP is. Operating on a bottom 6 or 8 budget, as well as coaching White, Bissouma, Cucurella, Caicedo into top players worth silly money. A dream for any football club owner.

The talk before was often on him managing a Villa or Leicester next. Imho he’s now better than that.

Top 6, but he’d start with no European competition experience.

No European experience? Are you sure?

Yep, the biggest threat to our continued success is Potter getting poached by a richer club. Very rarely does an opposition manager have us sussed out from the kick off, and he gets the very best out of his players.

How significant was that conversation convincing Gross not to move back to Germany?
