Wow, what a great year! But yeah, getting old. BTW one of those is the wrong way round, 'Clear Spot' was an album by Captain Beefheart, not the other way round.

Way more than a handful if they are the albums of your youth. Do you actually know ALL those albums well enough to reduce it to a handful?

This isn’t really my point. My point is more that, in my opinion, each and every year there’s some amazing albums released…as well as a lot of good ones….just like 1972. That’s all.
To which year are you referring?
My point was that this scenario plays out in any given year.
Don't forget, music is highly subjective. There is no wrong or right (unless you disagree with my views of course).
