So you're not involved in politics after saying you get involved in politics.

Make up your mind and stop talking shit yourself.

12,000 posts on this site, get a life, that’s something only Ben’s grandad achieved, and he’s a legend of the game.

They only care about their people.

Not all people. That's how it works.

Just checked the time and it’s 03:50 here, what are you doing with your time? That means it’s 15:50 Australian time, surely you have something better to do with your life.

I'm heating up a pie for lunch and watching the football. It's 12:54pm actually.

Off to golf in the arvo thanks for asking.

Genuinely disappointed that Seb Samrah didn’t get on this board, he had my vote, as someone who’s in his early 50’s I personally didn’t want the board to be populated by those of a certain age representing me, the likes of Seb and Jack are the true future of the fans of this club and both well connected with our past which cannot be forgotten.

Don’t give up Jack & Seb!

Just like to emphasise I have never done coke in my life (I saw some reference to coke heads), and I only get invited onto a podcast occasionally, because for some odd reason they find me funny (don’t laugh at me it only encourages me), anyway disappointing that there isn’t young representatives on the board. Titanic has met me and I’m always friendly. My issue is with the fact that people who have literally NO social media presence have got on the fan advisory board. Yeah that’s fine not everyone who voted is on Twitter, or Facebook or NSC, but as Bozza said, turnout was low, so where did the votes come from? Just random clicking? It doesn’t make sense, so either turnout was high, and people picked at random or people were influenced by age. It’s incredibly disappointing that people from my demographic (under 40) are not represented. We make up a huge amount of the support, and we would like to have a say on decisions that affect us. I put myself forward because of the encouragement of people my age (and above) wanted representation (I did it on the last day), and we have absolutely no representation.

I'm happy to say I voted for you and Seb, mostly because you normally post sensible stuff on here and because of Seb's family but also because you were obviously in a younger generation.

What I don't like is the grizzling at the result and the clear inference that the club have rigged or fixed it. It sounds a bit like Remainiacs or Trumpism. Take your pick.

If you believe in the democratic process then you should accept defeat gracefully and, if you think there hasn't been one then maybe you and The_Viper need to be a bit more explicit. I suspect you don't believe it enough to risk the wrath of NSC and Paul Barber.

The reason I didn't vote at all was because I couldn't be bothered to research all the candidates and consider who'd be best. Not a high enough priority for me. And as far as I know no-one was banging the drum for pizza in WSU lol.

I may be wrong but you had to vote in all categories ?

It would have been random clicking for some selections and at that point voting is at best pointless and at worst randomly voting against someone good by chance.

I’m quite surprised that jackalbion didn’t get voted in, he has a healthy online presence, comes across as a very nice character and is good value for money on the podcasts that he appears on.

I don't really understand why everyone is getting worked up over who has been elected and who hasn't. A cynic might say that if Bloom and Barber really wanted a Fan Advisory Board, they would have introduced one at some point in the previous 10 years. Not conveniently when there are calls for an independent regulator which they are against, allowing them to turn around and say "We don't need an independent regulator, we do listen to our fans, look at this"... Let's face it, it is purely a box ticking exercise

This was kind of my thoughts, and really it’ll be a sounding board and an opportunity for feedback - but I doubt it’s going to influence Barber and Bloom to much

I think that's a little harsh, but I do agree with your overarching theme.
I've always viewed these initiatives as 'crumbs from the captain's table' which eventually die a very quiet death.

The reason we still have a club is because of the one message unity across an incredibly diverse section of fans.

This appears to be starting with neither.
In the incredibly unlikely event the club doesn't want this 'divide and conquer' shouldn't be too difficult to attain.
