Shame that both him & Trossard seem to be running their contracts down and no coincidence they’re both in a really bad run of form

Alzate was our best player yesterday and deserves a run of games. Having said that, Bissouma is a class act and we need him. The two of them should be our midfield pairing, probably with Lallana in there somewhere

Trossard hasn’t done nearly enough over the last 2.5 seasons to get himself a big move, so any lack of effort won’t be doing him any favours. He’s blown hot and cold ever since he signed back in 2019, so I suspect his is just another cold phase.

Saying that. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get a contract extension sorted and we accept an offer for him this summer. Lots of rumour coming out of Belgium that Vanzeir is set to join Undav, and he seems to be a very similar player.

Was he dropped or was he on the bench to protect him as he is nearing another ban for accumulated bookings and maybe GP decided to save him for the next two games

He’s still 3 bookings away from a ban, so him not playing yesterday was not to stop him getting suspended in the near future.

I've kinda tuned out the last few weeks and months. This is a shame about Bissouma. Maybe he wanted away in Jan and we blocked it or something. Tbf to Trossard (and to an extent Biss), they've done a lot of huff and puff for very little reward the last season or two in terms of chance creations and probably want to move on. They've proven they can play a better standard. A shame they can't see the season out the way they started it but I think Burn's departure could have triggered the start of an exodus, maybe the rhetoric about not being a selling club is contrary to our actions in Jan. I'm sure some players are as disappointed as some fans.

A rebuilding job in the summer from bottom to top I reckon. Maybe manager, too. The main thing for Brighton is that they stay up. Frustrating that a 16th place finish now looks like a good season where as 5 games ago we were dreaming of Europa pleb cup. C'est la vie.

Biss seemed to say his goodbyes at Chelsea. And then we blocked his move and let Dan Burn go in January. If that's the reason he's sulking I hope he fails wherever he goes.

It's frustrating because we know he's at least a 50 million player and we are going to end up selling him for 30.

My how fickle we all are, already turning on Bissouma.
Has a couple of bad games and he's a gonna.
Cannot wait when Lamptey goes on a bad run.
Has lamptey been on a good run this season ?!

All I can remember him doing is the assist at West ham. Fairly rubbish recently by his high standards.

Fairly rubbish? Harsh. He’s spent a lot of the recent games with teams doubling up on him in an attempt to nullify him. Has still put a shift in in each game though.

This is how I see it. If he could play “hot” more regularly he’d be at a much bigger club at this stage of his career. His inconsistent form means he plays for us.

With only a year left on his contract £30m would be a good fee.

I love Trossard. He's got SO much good about the way he works, but he blows far too hot and cold for a really top club in my opinion. He could be fantastic, sometimes he's unplayable, most of the time lately he's anonymous and when he's having an off day it's like playing with 10 men. That said, too many players are having "off days" at the moment.

I would love Vanzeir irrespective of whether Trossard stays of not. His partnership with Undav has been very productive and who wouldn't want a player called Dante?
