Oh yes he will. He'll be "vaccinated" in Serbia, and the Serbian government will make sure he has the certificates to "prove" it.

They will give him two little round plasters for his arm, which he will wear but below his shirt sleeve to prove it and they will also give him a "I've had my vaccination" sticker for his bag

Watching the Aussie Open now, Badosa (8th seed) vs Tomjlanovic (Croatia). It's been an excellent game ..... played infront of a very empty stadium, sadly. Don't understand it, would love a ticket to watch this. Hoping for early rounds ground ticket for Wimbledon this year.

One thing that never really got asked in this, is how was Djokovic intending to play in the Australian Open before conveniently "getting" (ahem) Covid on "Dec 16th" (ahem), and thus suddenly being able to sling in a last minute application to play on the grounds of recently contracting Covid? Presumably up until that point he'd resigned himself to sadly not being able to attend?

It took Australia longer to send him packing than it did to finish of England's Ashes hopes.

Standing in the way of control

Looking forward to him touting this and reiterating how you can make water positive with your mind on a Joe Rogan episode while Rogan quotes a non-peer reviewed study of 12 people, furrows his brow and says something along the lines of "I'm just asking the question, these snowflakes don't listen."

In an interview from his home in Monaco exclusively listened to by angry alpha males, resulting in Serbians who haven't listened to it lauding him in the comments as a misunderstood bastion of human rights and unduly maligned national hero.

The BBC are reporting that the serial number of Djokovic’s +ve PCR test strongly suggests it was taken between 25 and 28 Dec and not on 16 Dec as claimed when he entered Oz. They’ve asked both the Serbian authorities and Djokovic’s team for comment, but have had no reply so far.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I’m not.

As usual the cover up shenanigans is worse than the crime.

If the Oz govt conclude there is something fishy about his test date and that he lied about it on entry to the country, there’ll be enormous public pressure to not shorten his 3-year ban from entry. He might not be playing in the Oz open for a while. The French may also take a dim view this year too. The UK (for Wimbledon)? We’ll see, I guess.

This story has a few more miles yet, I reckon.

Re Wimbledon, if it's just down to our government he'll be welcomed as a hero.

It's weird that this has taken so long to come out, as they were reporting it in Germany a while ago. The Serbian government have played their part in this, which isn't a great look

This. It is odd and also odd that people don't seem to have noticed it in the BBC. When I heard the news bulletin and heard it presented as though it was something new, I had to pinch myself for a moment as I thought I'd travelled back in time a couple of weeks.

He'll probably be invited to practice in the Number 10 garden

It'd be inhuman to cancel the defending Wimbledon champion - let's get Grand Slam #21 done.

There was talk at the time that a German newspaper had got hold of an image of his ‘positive’ test email, scanned the QR code and got through to a confirmation page dated 26th December. It’s obvious he lied about the date of the test, he really didn’t give a shit about Covid, vaccines, isolation or anything to do with changing his behaviour in any way. Hopefully he’ll get some bans from the other Grand Slams - he will certainly get the boos if he shows up at Wimbledon. Another liar caught out.
