I’m not sure anyone can know whether or not Chelsea fans ‘mostly want him to leave.’ If the source is one of their forums I would take that as being about as representative of most Chelsea fans as NSC is of most BHA fans.

Loads of comments on Chelsea Twitter wanting them to sell him .

Fair enough. That is a noisy sub section of their support though. Twits can be a bit melodramatic teenagery. I suppose I’m surprised anyone would not want Lukaku in their team despite BDB having him in his pocket the other day. They don’t have to play teams as good as BHA every week so I would have thought he still has a role to play.

I suspect Chelsea fans are upset at his perceived lack of loyalty to the club especially as they pay him a fortune .

Is the crucial bit of this not that he was unhappy? As the article says, the interview was recorded several weeks ago when RL was in the midst of injury and illness.

Bit of a non-story, IMO.

Indeed. Some media outlets acknowledged this, some didn't....

This, l wouldn't expect any player to be happy if he was being left out of the starting line up. I really wouldn't read much else into it.

Zlatan on Lukaku:

“I intervened to defend my team-mates and Lukaku attacked me on a personal level. I was shocked. We even were team-mates at Manchester United.

"Lukaku has a great ego, he thinks he’s a champion and he’s really strong.

"But I grew up in the Malmo ghetto, and when someone comes under me with his head down, I put him in his place."

"So, I hit him in his sweet spot: his Mum’s rituals. And he lost control.

"Although, I still have a terrible doubt… we lost that derby. I was sent off. Then I got injured. A lot of bad things happened.

"You’ll see that the Lukaku rituals really got me? I asked my believing friends to pray for me. I have to settle the bill with him too. I hope to meet him soon.

"On the street? No, these are things that must be resolved on the pitch. I don’t hate anyone, much less Lukaku.”

Think he was spot on. Lukaku is a very insecure boy in a monstrous body. He is obviously a fantastic player but his silly mindset and habit of turning into shit when things are rough for him is what keeps him from being mentioned in the same sentence as Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Suarez, Zlatan and Lewandowski when it comes to the true greats of the game in the last decade.

Hilarious that he is going completely bananas like this and throwing himself and the club under the bus. Not mentioned in the article but he also said "now is the right time to talk about this"... it really isnt.

That guy will also be out before you know it... very grumpy. Dont like him, his defensive brand of football. Send him back to Germany. And give the man a meal ffs.

Good coach though.

But basically, cant stand the bloke now after Wednesday.

I hope you're right, as he behaved like a spoilt brat and lacked any sort of maturity......... I wonder how his players felt seeing that reaction, I'm not sure Potter would ever behave in such a churlish way........

Yeah obviously a good coach. But there are more good coaches without his toxic personality. Its like Mourinho but without the fun clowning.

Ask yourself, would you be happy playing for that sour faced, moaning, deluded, defeatist, bad loser?

Attitude in all businesses starts from the top, no wonder Chelsea are now in disarray with the way he’s been behaving recently.

Lol as much as l would like to believe it was true, l hardly think Chelsea are in disarray!

Just getting better...

Lukaku: "Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern, these are the absolute best clubs in football. Any player would dream of one day playing for them. And so I thought that I could make history at Inter (with that new contract) and then go to them one them."

A pair of potentially decent players

Lukaku is on a different stratosphere to Zaha and is way beyond 'potentially' decent.

always whinging,

Is Lukaku always whinging?

Zaha is the king of an on field hissy fit. I'm not sure Lukaku is the same.

So I would say the comparison is "They are both PL footballers".

It was hilarious watching him absolutely losing it when Veltman blocked that Lukaku effort and they didn't get a corner. A corner for God's sake. Plus - watching it back, it looks like the ref got it right.

Indeed, l never thought l'd say this, but l actually thought that Mike Dean had a good game.
