I think you are likely to be right. However I know of someone who had ordered and received some tests and was simply in too much of a hurry to do one before a game, on one occasion, but just declared it negative (fortunately they were negative). I can see some people doing this wholsale, especially as the kits are free. Perhaps even for 'a laugh'. We can see from the news how people can behave when they are more than two standard deviations from the mean on the bell curve.

Hmmm well that blew my theory out of the water then! :lolol: I liked being naïve & thinking people do the right thing.

Are you of the opinion that people who are going to fake lft's are going to bother setting up an account? I'm thinking of your average football attendee. I fill out a form 2x a week & still haven't got around to setting up an account. It just seems like a lot of hassle to fake a test, rather than just take the test & fill out the same forms.

Yep, I am of that opinion when it comes to regular attendees at football, gigs, festivals etc.

You say it's a lot of hassle to fake a test. I'm saying it's a lot less hassle to just create an account and click through the process in less than 2 minutes as a tick box exercise to gain entry to wherever you want to go.

All these measures are, in reality, merely window dressing when it comes to mass events to appease the anxious among us. Just like lots of things today. It's all just a tick box exercise really.

What do you suggest ? Either way if you are double jabbed and even better had your booster you are very likely to suffer only a mild illness should you get infected

He's suggesting that 'proof' of a negative LFT is no actual proof at all. It just proves that you've sent a text or email to the NHS saying that you've taken a test and it was negative - regardless of whether that is true or not.

HWT has just blown my theory out of the water anyway. It appears I'm naïve. :( I will create an account for my sons school tests now though!

Would be so easy for the NHS app to be updated so that only those with a genuine medical reason to remain unvaccinated were eligible to use the LFT in order to access a venue.

Yes, probably - but that would ultimately have Boris having to bring in fully compulsory legislation involving the 'must' word - without any caveats! I think his brain would literally explode if he was forced to do that!

Look at the hysteria here. We have all just been thrown under the bus to try and save Boris's neck. They had no intention of launching plan B. Apparently only 3 cabinet ministers supported it earlier this week. Low and behold as soon as he's up S creek on the party story plan B lands almost immediately. And people are actually falling for it.

EH ? Speak for yourself, I've not been diverted from the current No10 party shitstorm one iota over this latest announcement. And I'm still fuming over the Owen Paterson fiasco. And like most salient human beings who are still capable of dressing themselves in the morning, I've had Johnson pegged as lying tory filth for years.

Just because there's a thread over the latest nonsense this mop-haired c**t has announced, doesn't mean the rest of his slate has suddenly been wiped clean. I don't think anyone here is "falling for it" at all. There is a DEAFENING silence from the usual tory apologists on here, they're currently rarer than those drooling slack-jawed Palace dimbots after a defeat.

I'm still holding a sliver of hope that this latest clusterf*ck will finally be the straw that breaks the camels back, a mottled, flabby old back that eventually gets stoved in by his own party. Maybe that bi-election next week could be a catalyst if it goes disastrously for them. I know its wishful thinking, but one can only hope.

What would Starmer have done ?

No problem there Boris fan. If Starmer had had a party social distancing would have been no problem and Jeremy Corbyn could have laid a wreath on it..

Maybe we’re all being distracted from something far more sinister?

The crodo account is entirely a 'comedy' account. He publishes 'hello' style polls and joke celebrity fan threads. His line on Covid is that we are all going to die if we don't take it all tremendously seriously. It's a joke. Not a very funny one, admittedly, and he has served a recent ban for being a tit on another thread. Just remind yourself when you read a post of his that his true view is likely to be the opposite of what he's posted. He will probably give me a thumbs up for this post. Slightly peculiar.

I see thanks, not sure why though as not funny in the slightest. Strange...

It's not a short form. As I said to someone above after going through the aggro to get the test, go through the aggro of filling out loads of info on the gov site, why would you not take the test? You don't even have to put it down your throat anymore. Stick it up your nose, put swab in fluid, drip fluid onto test strip and wait 15 mins. I really don't think there would be many people not bothering. Maybe I'm naïve by thinking that most people will do the right thing.

Most will but quite a few probably won’t. Wonder, for example, how many people doing ‘fit to return’ tests actually put the swabs up their nose and risked not being able to fly back ?
