Right.

So we just don’t understand…..As others have said it was a few idiots which has descended into a long-standing topic of discussion apparently. What a load of rubbish - if that is the case why did 30,000 of us bother to sit in the freezing cold on a Saturday evening to watch the team?

Naylor - if you are reading this, stop patronising us.

Patronising you say?

Anyone would think he's under orders from, I don't know, another figurehead who likes to regularly address fans in a a patronising manner and shut down any criticism.

Curious.

Nope.

From what I hear on 'the inside' this is all PR by potter anyway. Making the noises from the crowd heard louder and bringing on Jurgen as our only 'valid' striking option.

Is this like the thing you heard "on the inside" before the Wolves game (when the team fought hard to come back from a 3-1 deficit) last year that GP had lost the dressing room?

Much like this Naylor bloke, you have no sources on the inside.

He might be on the medical team.

Give it a rest ffs! First Amex Ruislip goes from fluffy to something slightly darker in the blink of an eye, then Bozza turns this place into some depressing vacuous click bait tabloid forum. ‘What the gives’ is going on?

No different to the Gus poyet era when the crowd all used to moan when the ball was played back or sideways. Can remember a few GP interviews where he lost his rag with the fans

Always been impressed by the insights of this Naylor man not to mention those who think he knows anything.

Normal Naylor Twitter day during silly season:

"I read in several foreign papers that Brighton might be interested in signing Unheardof Player X, is it true?"

Maybe

"I read in several foreign papers that Brighton might be interested in signing Super Talented Megawanted Player X, is it true?"

Ees complicated

"I read that Brighton might look into to signing Lionel Messi, is it true?"

No.

Brighton ends up signing unknown player X, does not get Supertalented Mega Wanted Player X and indeed does not sign Lionel Messi.

Oh my God Andy you are THE Oracle!!

He is a fraud.

Very much this there is always a snide tone to anything Naylor writes about Albion fans which seemed an odd approach when at the Argus there was a reliance on fans buying the paper and this approach seems to have increased since he moved to the Athletic.

A dinosaur journo who is no longer in the know and writes very little of interest these days. Even when the White story came up he was left with the crumbs of linking to David Ornsteins take on the whole thing. His articles and tweets always sound very antagonistic and bitter I wonder sometimes why he even bothers writing about the Albion.

Even by slow news day standards the Boo-gate scandal is massively over reported in the media

It’s weird because the media seem to have completely ignored the videos of Everton fans spewing with rage, screaming obscenities and gesticulating at their players and manager. Yet we have a few hundred dickheads that boo and it’s somehow used to drive a wedge between the club and fans?

Klopp has his say on the Brighton Booers:

"Graham Potter... I think they are playing exceptional football. They should be happy with having him there because I really consider him a really special manager."

I'm repeating myself but....The club now actively courts a certain type of "customer" (purely because of the £££s) over more working class fans, so reap what you sow. Their shared misgivings? Fvck off.

The usual suspects will be here in a moment saying Klopp only says that because Liverpool always beat Brig... oh, wait.

People are very quick to point out that they spend a lot of money to go and boo the Albion so they truly deserve to take a shit on the team. The "customer" thing appears to be mutual.

I find it hard to believe it was 'a few hundred dickheads'.

The stadium was close to half empty already, with the rest of us heading for the exit pretty sharpish.
There was no other noise down our end of the ground.

It's an echo-y bowl, one loud voice can easily sound like 10.

Which for me making all this hullabaloo even more silly.

Maybe Graham has started believing his own hype and praise from other managers and ex players. We could do with a bit more proof in the pudding before we all join up to that. ie final league position (so far just above Hughton's and beneath Bruce, who's apparently shit), cup run (not as good as Hughton's semi). It's still much too early to judge him on results.

edit - I've not seen Chris' semi, thank you very much.

Well, he said pretty much the opposite yesterday on the press conference.

Anyway, yet another thread on this sensitive and highly divisive subject which pretty much everyone has already had their say on is surely going to prevent unpleasant atmosphere and help build that community feeling in the same manner half of the natives going down the village to flog the dead horse for a third night running with the other half standing by protesting would help achieve those things.

Could we move on maybe?
I do enjoy your current, everyday, Swedish lifestyle comparisons, Swanny. Keep 'em coming :rotlf:

Booing is such an hilarious subject, nearly everyone loses their shit over it. It passes the time I guess, as we don't have I'm a Celebrity

There is concern about a lack of understanding of the difficulties competing in the Premier League when even teams at the wrong end of the table possess individual players of high calibre, capable of posing problems.
This also manifests itself with perpetual calls from sections of the fanbase to break the bank to sign a striker capable of finishing off the chances created.
They have a ceiling for transfers and wages under chief executive Paul Barber, who is responsible for the day-to-day running of the club on behalf of the owner-chairman Tony Bloom.

I think the club need to have a look at themselves possibly how they can improve things, if they are upset about Empty Seats and Early leavers I think they need to look more inwardly.

This is interesting if true, it would suggest there was no £30m bid for Gonzalez or Nunez which Naylor quite heavily covered.
Liars tend to trip themselves up eventually.
