Any supporter of the club would be frustrated at the missed chances but we played really well and created many goal scoring chances.
But all I wished for this season was not to get relegated or hover around the relegation places, I wanted a reasonably stress free mid table season.
Instead I get the best season, so far, in the history of the club, 8th position in probably the toughest league in the world and still in with a chance of European football.
As of right now I see no reason to boo and after the way we played today I totally agree with Potter.
The biggest disappointment for me is that the gamble with Wellbeck seems not to have worked but hopefully he will be back for the 2nd half of the season and the January window is not far away.

My family know me as someone that gets very emotionally involved with a game . Usually getting very frustrated that leads to angry.

This evening I let my son and daughter use my tickets and watched the game on the box.

This evening's game has been the calmest I've ever been watching a game because I had already prepared myself that we wouldn't score. It is now as predictable as us not signing a competent striker in the transfer window. Ever since the Murray/Michael-Smith debacle of our first season at the Amex I have lost complete faith in those that make striker recruitment decisions within the club. Every transfer window just reinforces this.

Neal Maupay was pretty good at everything today apart from where we needed him most. The problem is even if he starts scoring, we know, miss one chance and he'll descend into the can't hit a barn door hell of his own making. He really is this emotionally fragile. However to replace him with Locadia !!! How can this be good for the team, Maupay or Locadia. This substitution made the team worse, destroyed any shreds of Maupay's confidence and reminded everyone including Locadia why he is not fit for the purpose. He can't even run which is pretty important for a professional footballer.

Seriously are the same guys recruiting our strikers now who decided that Michael-Smith was a better fit than Murray who scored 31 goals for Palace, after we kicked him out, in their promotion season?

I adore Tony Bloom and I commend so much about this club and especially Graham Potter but the elephant in the room is getting surely to big to ignore now.

I increasingly prefer to watch games from the sofa, far more relaxing, and warm.

Didn't like hearing boos, don't like hearing Potter reference our history as a reason why we should not complain. No one was moaning about our League position, I doubt anyone was moaning about the efforts of the players, I suspect they were pissed off that Lamptey went off, and Locadia came on, and we finished the game looking more likely to concede and less likely to score. It is not Locadia's fault he is not at this level, it is Potters fault he was on the pitch.

If we had won last week, or the week before, or the week before that, or the week before that, or the week before that, or the week before that, or the week before that, maybe there would have been a bit more understanding about not winning this week, but as it is, the recent "history of this club" is no ****ing wins.

Potter has every right to comment on fan reaction, I don’t go along with the political correctness that says managers must never do this. He’d obviously be wiser not to but that’s up to him, don’t think any the less of him for doing so.

Doesn’t surprise me some fans are booing because the striker situation is long standing (so they are not really booing Potter, more his inability to wrest the cash out of the board) and go 8 games without a win, some fans will be unhappy.

For my part, I’m probably more content with Potter than any time in his 3 seasons here. He’s had much worse times than this by a long chalk. Today was a good performance in my book, agree with him on that

The elephant in the room has been around for quite a while now, if Albion don't get their recruitment right this coming transfer window and get a good striker or two in then we'll get what we deserve. That will mean another season of missed chances after creating some of the best openings any team in this league can arguably create.

I've recently been to both the Norwich and Villa away games where again Albion dominated as we did against Leeds, but we failed to land a blow to the opposition goalmouth. We can't shoot accurately, it's as simple as that, seen it in so many games, same applies to when we warm up and take shots at the practice goal before kick offs, never seen the ball spray around the outside of the goal so much. When was the last time our midfielders shot accurately at goal? Lallana (grasscutters), Bissouma (off into row Z), Moder (not enough game time tbh), Gross (takes one touch, then another touch, then another just to make sure), Cucurella (usually will pass rather than shoot), Mac Allister (not enough game time). We can leave out March, Trossard and Lamptey as at least they do shoot, and do so accurately, when given the opportunity.

If I was in Potter's position I'd be frustrated too, let's hope he doesn't see our striker recruitment issue as the straw that breaks his resolve to stay long term.

It's really not.

It's about Graham Potter and what I felt was slightly out of character today.

Irritation? Frustration? Pressure? A little bit of all of those?

It's not out of character tbf, he's got previous for being a bit shirty about our support.

Maybe his frustration was as much to do with striker recruitment as with the booing from the so-called 'supporters.' We don't know and aren't privy to what goes on behind the scenes despite quite a few assumptions here. Nearly everyone on here has said they wouldn't boo and/or criticised the booing, so Potter wasn't having a go at the likes of us. It was in the heat of the moment, he was angry about it and he was backing his players. High emotional intelligence doesn't mean you can't get angry when warranted, and it was. Good for him.

He was probably as pissed off as the rest of us as Maupay misses another sitter to all but seal the points.

The biggest disappointment for me is that the gamble with Wellbeck seems not to have worked .

I agree he was invisible yesterday.

Potter has to go NOW though. It’s crazy to have him in control of the squad when the likes of Neil Warnock, Mark Hughes, Tony Pulis, Sam Allardyce and most importantly Dean (swoon) Wilkins who remember took us higher than Potter as we finished seventh, are not in management.

It has absolutely nothing to do with how well the team played because they played well.

It has absolutely nothing to do with fans boo-ing. Because even before the advent of Facebook and Twitter, fans have boo-ed with little justification for it. Since the advent of Facebook and Twitter then everyone has become a media critic and those with short fuses and who are constantly angry at life are the ones who shout loudest. Add to that the fact it was a later kick off so more people would have been drunk by the end of the game. Boos were inevitable. Justified or not.

GP should have just gone with the flow. Journalists always throw questions in to try and get a controversial response. They need fans to engage with what the write nowadays and if that means causing a little mini war between Manager and fans they are more that happy to try and start that war.

Potter should just have said . " It must have been Leeds fans who were boo-ing because we played very well "

For him to have the audacity to mock our history because a handful of fans booed is pretty shocking imho. How many of our managers have a side as good as this?

Subtract £50m for Ben White and the outlay isn’t huge and we’ve progressed so much in the past 2.5 years.

Hardly £100 m though is it?

Leeds have spent more than that.Did their fans boo at the final whistle?

Thing about having a pop at the fans is the risk of not winning for another nine games.

He had a pop at some of the fans who booed, perfectly reasonable imo, although he might regret doing so this morning.

With another 7 games until the window opens we could very easily be in the same position as usual . Digging his own grave taking on fans with only one winner

Some boos were absolutely inevitable. Always have been and always will be. For instance, West Brom got some boos on Friday night at the end of a home 0-0. They are 3rd in their league.

Interesting that GP’s guard also slipped at the end of his own frustrating evening.

My disappointment was expressed by not waiting to clap the players off. I usually clap regardless of the result - but last night just didn’t feel like it.

I have only seen the video of his after match comments on the BBC website.

Can you point me in the direction where he “mocked” our history, as that must have been in another interview!

Maybe what he should have said is “we currently sit 8th in the Premier League, WTF do these idiots want or expect.”

It was a minority so Graham really needs to learn to rise above that. Responses like that annoy fans in the same way reading Barbers programme notes where he always focuses on a small number of fans rather than acknowledging the majority.

I don’t think anyone (even those who did boo) left the stadium feeling the side played badly just frustration at the all too common sight of a side dominating games but again failing to come away with the points the performance deserved.

He is likely working tirelessly building their belief and confidence in front of goal. The evidence after misfiring recently was, we tore into Leeds throughout the game and didn’t just create what you’d normally call a chance, we created some tap-ins! Last thing he knows the players would need ahead of a tough away game is being boo’d off the pitch at home when they’d given everything except score that elusive goal.

Or it galvanises a lot of us fans who felt exactly the same as Potter did. Some booing came from East Upper above us - who’d made **** all noise all game, or any game!! The only time I’ve heard the East Upper now was to have a boo at the end. Doesn’t annoy me in the slightest GP has showed some real passion and dared to have a pop at some of the home customers….I mean ‘supporters’.
