Potter could definitely learn a thing or 2 from the bloke who relegated Cardiff and managed Molde in a farmers league.

The arrogance of that tweet.

Imagine being so far up your own arse that you can't see why a manager like Potter wouldn't want to go and be assistant to Ole, a manager so out of his depth he needs arm-bands, all because Potter "manages Brighton not Real Madrid".

The utter entitled ego of it.

Maybe he’s going to United as Olé’s no. 2 :laugh:

Jon Davies is clearly not a Telegraph reader!

Clearly "We are Manchester United", 1 point above #NotRealMadrid in the league is such a massive step up that anyone would take a demotion!

How much would you need adding to your salary to move from the top job at your current employer (where you have a very long contract) to move to No2 at another company who are marginally more successful?

Possibly even worth changing the banner in tribute.... No longer are we #TeamsLikeBrighton.... we are #NotRealMadrid.

Even if you ignore the fact we're a Premier League club and not even one which is struggling, why would Potter go and be understudy to someone who is clearly a far inferior manager to him?

Like if we'd tried to sign Pep to be assistant to Hyppia.

Yeh, that fella is displaying Leeds United levels of detachment from reality

Speaking of which, why hasn't the Messiah been linked with any of these top jobs? I mean if he took over at St James', he could win the title with Newcastle this season, Shirley? :moo:

Because he is so loyal to LUFC there is no way he would ever leave... or indeed, sign a contract. (I was joking, but has he actually signed anything yet?)

Farkinell. Thread too close to the Newcastle thread - I read 'Potter joins Newcastle on a 4 year deal"

And is managing mould at Old Trafford.

It's strange, I've never met somebody who's had their brain sawn in two during a magic trick gone wrong, yet the Internet seems to be full of them. And most of them support "big" clubs.

Best laugh of the week, so far :O:laugh::lolol::cheers:

I think he SINGED an extension at the beginning of the season. Only one year though, from memory...?

With GPott lucky enough to be offered the assistant manager job at Utd.

Would that mean we might, just might, be able to replace him with...

Mike 'More than a' Phelan.

If you read the replies he seems to realise what he means is Ole become director of football and Potter become manager, which seems an odd role for Ole, but it would probably be more realistic with regard to Potter leaving us for United.

Right, but, Ole as DoF?

Ole who has presided over building, at great expense, one of the most imbalanced squads in the league? That Ole? As DoF?

The guy (the tweeter) is a clown. A straight up 'should be laughed off the internet and mocked for eternity' clown.
