Spacious, airy concourse with a range of delicious food and drink choices, and easy access to the plentiful, clean, well kept toilets. Nicely open and well lit stand, comfortable modern seats, lively but friendly atmosphere (really helps that they have the family stand to the right so you're surrounded by rosy-cheeked children and smiling parents enjoying a nice day out), and a cracking view of the pitch & Palace penalties from all areas of the away end.

10/10, would go again.

For actual scenes, limbs and pure madness has to be Forest Ulloa and Palace 1-0 in 2005.

In general another vote for Peterborough, especially that 3-0 win. Also Fulham and Brentford away ends.

I'm surprised a couple of people put Hereford. For me that was one of the worst away-end experiences I've had: Shallow terraces a long way from the pitch; not much of a roof; fence half way across the end with people sitting on it obstructing the view. It was a horrendous watch other than the final result.

For me, it was QPR away in 2017. I remember a smoke bomb going off above me in the upper tier literally seconds after Murray's goal, the absolute carnage (in the lower tier anyway) when Poco curled that one in off the underside of the bar and then the players' celebrations in front of the stand when we held on for 2-1 (I think everyone knew we were as good as up after that result). I also remember going for a slash at half time and being stuck in a queue to get back out of the bogs thinking 'I wouldn't like to be in this concourse in a fire'.

Not so much to do with the match or the teams but just the overall experience for memories and as a bit of a formative moment, as an 11 year old in with the Newcastle fans at QPR in the mid-80s.

MK Don's the 1-2 win where they missed a penalty at the end, the whole experience was just fantastic, we stayed in the hotel overlooking the pitch the night before and no matter where we went we bumped into Brighton fans enjoying crazy downtown Milton Keynes nightlife.

Matchday and we wandered up the canal to a pub that was bursting with Brighton supporters and some old friends, once inside the stadium it was just a electric atmosphere and one I will never forget.

Actually - that was a good one. Did we not take 7000+ away to that? We filled the away end and down a lot of the sides.

For Brighton matches, Hereford undoubtedly the best for me personally.

For non-Brighton - I went to Millwall v Forest in 1994 with a Forest fan. We were on the bottom set of seats (in the days when they let fans sit there). Stuart Pearce was playing for Forest. Really heated atmosphere, ended 2-2, police horses on the pitch, then having to run the gauntlet of flying bottles etc on the way out!

I put Hereford because of the togetherness of the Albion fans at that time, the goal celebration from our fans was something special, fellow fans hugging fellow fans that didn’t actually know each other personally.
Also just because of the match will always be remembered.

I wasn’t actually sure if the thread question meant something like I’ve posted above or just what was the best away stand for views, facilities etc.
If this was the case I would say I quite liked the away end at Barnsley.
