[Humour] Apparently, Liverpool fans are singing 'F@*k the tories' at the Milan match tonight.

They were probably saying, "Excuse me, but are you aware the game is being played behind closed doors?"

I meant the season before last at Liverpool :

Yes there are some differences in the American & English accents and even meanings of some words . If you are pissed , you are annoyed but here I think it means drunk !

but I can understand most English accents . Struggled with the Liverpool one .. Seems to be lots of short words spoken very quickly with swearing thrown into every sentence.

It’s Liverpool fans , there all geezers , it’s not unexpected. Was at the Liverpool game last season , could barely understand what some guys on the train were saying , seems like a different language punctuated regularly with swear words . Similar experience with Everton this season . I doubt many of them can read let alone have a sensible political view .

Personally, I think ‘f**k the Tories’ is a perfectly sensible political view.

Yet it seems more of the English population disagree with you than agree with you . At least they did at the last election.

More of the English population? What in god’s good name are you banging on about now?

UK Population - 66,650,000
Tory Vote 2019 - 13,966,454

I’m pretty confident most of the other 52m would agree with LLF.

Is that the same Liverpool where the city council are/were institutionally corrupt ? Is that what they are upset about ?
Were.

........ and no it isn't. Surprised there isn't more support for them on here, considering the things Brighton and Liverpool have in common (cough ..... I believe there is an extensive discussion on the subject elsewhere on NSC)

Of course, whatever you're arguing. people on both sides will claim that the 52M are rock solid behind them ..... though in this case I think the Liverpool supporters would actually be reflecting the views of a majority! Certainly, I think, the views of Merseyside (even the blue half)!

That must have been a nasty shock for you to discover that people in other parts of Britain have different accents

Weird and embarrassing thing for a Brighton fan to say. My neighbours are all Liverpool fans and I bloody well don’t want to be hammered by them. Perhaps the OP is just too up his own arse over politics to notice what he typed.

I was thinking the opening post on this thread was dumb but you are right up there with this one
