Did we actually 'nick it' or did Potter 100% know the PL new boys would die on their arses in the last 15-20 mins and adjust so we'd dominate the game in that period?

I couldn't get a stream to stabilise so listened to the commentary - we seemed to have total control in the last 20. Also, even a load of the Brentford fans seem to acknowledge they ran out of has and we looked by far the more likely to score.

I’m definitely not in the “nicked it” camp. I’m not sure how much Potter knew about them tiring etc, but what I will say is we kept reasonably solid, road our luck, didn’t panic, didn’t give up and put Ale Mac on to provide some extra energy and had quality to take a chance. You do this and you have an excellent chance to win a game. If there was any luck in today’s win we created it.

I think quite a bit of work has been done on player mentality pre-season.

We look far more robust and unlikely to be bullied out of the game this season.

Loving our squad depth at the moment, due to players like Moder and Mac Allister maturing, players like March, Veltman and (hopefully) Lamptey returning from injury, and the new lads - Cucurella and Mwepu.

Isn't it nice to have proper wingbacks in a wingback system?!:lol:

What a wonderful win for Tony Bloom who celebrated the win with a smile in the direction of his ex employee. How satisfied he looked!!

Albion fans very noisy and singing in unison.

Great result. We rode our luck and never gave up and a bit of real skill won it for us.
How often have we done what they did? I mean, create chances and miss them , defend well and concede in tbe last minutes. Well today it was different. Hats off to Graham Potter.
A critic could say that if we give better teams the chances we allowed Brentford, we'll be turned over. But that's for another day. Today we celebrate!

Despite people on here on the match thread saying Trossard was rubbish, Warren Aspinall and Alan Shearer both bigging him up!!!

Anyone calling Trossard rubbish clearly has no idea and is best ignored.

Anyone calling Trossard, frustrating, mercurial or quality has a better grasp of the situation.

I loves the fella but do find him frustrating.
The goals he scores are absolute quality, some even come in games he's hardly put a foot right in.
It's as if he lacks consistency so goes from rubbish to fantastic almost as if a switch has been flicked.

I just can't sum that up in one word.

We were the most likely team to score in the final 15 minutes, but we were hardly creating clear cut chance after clear cut chance.
