With their unbeaten run of five games having come to an end at the weekend, Albion will be hoping to bounce back at the first attempt in tonight’s midweek Championship game against third placed Ipswich, with the visit of Arsenal in the FA Cup just round the corner.

Chris Hughton saw his side beaten for the first time as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Amex to Brentford in his first home match since taking over as Brighton boss three weeks ago.

Coming away from the game with nothing to show for it was harsh for the Seagulls to take, considering

    Albion 0 - 1 Brentford

Since Boxing Day the world of Brighton and Hove Albion had been one undergoing big changes. A new manager had arrived, in Chris Hughton. The side had notched up three successive wins. We'd stopped conceding crap goals. A bit of luck had fallen our way. Even Chris O'Grady had become good.

Indeed, much had changed since the last match at the Amex. And yet, nothing had changed...

Having seen his new side pick up two wins in his opening games as Albion boss on the road, Chris Hughton takes charge of his first game at home in front of an expectant Amex crowd this afternoon as his players square off against Brentford for the second time in the space of three matches.

With last weekend’s 1-0 victory at Charlton extending their unbeaten run to five games and moving them three points clear of the Championship relegation zone, things are starting to look

    The Rivals

There was surprise recently when Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan announced he would stand as an opponent to incumbent Sepp Blatter at the FIFA congress on 29 May in Zurich. Blatter originally declared in 2011 that he would not be standing for re-election this year, partly on the grounds of his age (he will be 79 at the date of the vote).

    The History

Blatter has held the role since 1998, and has been re-elected three times since then. FIFA's reputation has been sullied in relation to claims of financial irregularities and the nature

Can we just switch next weekend’s game to Griffin Park?

A third consecutive capital outing and a third straight win for Nathan Jones/ Chris Hughton’s men means that a day trip to London is more popular with Albion fans right now than Chas ‘n Dave at a Cockney knees up. Roll out the barrel, for while it’s still early days in the post-Hyypia regime

With Chris Hughton’s reign as Albion boss getting off to a winning start in the FA Cup last weekend, Brighton’s new manager will now be looking to pick up his first points in the league with his side as they travel to The Valley to face an out-of-form Charlton side.

The Seagulls left it late to make it through to the fourth round of the competition on Saturday, with Lewis Dunk opening the scoring on 88 minutes before Chris O’Grady made the game safe three minutes into added on time. They have been rewarded for that victory with a home tie against the current holders,

Maybe someone asked for the wrong Crystal Palace striker.

It sounded like a nasty rumour at first, but we hear there could be more to it than that and Andy Johnson, a man who very probably gets considered as a Crystal Palace legend, could be heading South down the M23 to bolster Chris Hughton's attacking

It's been asked on Twitter numerous times already - "How much will Arsenal tickets be?"

Paul Barber has gone on record previously to state that chairman Tony Bloom would not ramp up ticket prices on occasion of 'glamour' fixtures at the Amex, so there is no reason to believe that there will be ticket

After the unveiling of his appointment as Albion’s new manager on the final day of 2014, Chris Hughton takes charge of his first game this afternoon as Brighton begin 2015 with an FA Cup Third Round trip to Brentford.

With the side having dragged themselves out of the relegation zone on goal difference with a 2-0 win over Fulham in Nathan Jones’ last game as interim boss, The Seagulls may see todays game as a welcome distraction, and might possibly be the perfect game for Hughton to begin his tenure.
