The talk right now is all about how, when and if the Premier League will return to finish the 2019/20 season.

Whatever happens here, teams will need to know where they stand shortly, if they have met season expectations, and what league they will be playing in next season.

This is going to be an incredible and very strange summer period for many different reasons, and that looks set to have a big impact on the 2020 summer transfer window.

If Only Tonight We Could Sleep - 1989

“If only tonight we could sleep in a bed made of flowers”

I don’t mean to upset mum but that doesn’t override the fact that my shirt and tie are strangling me. We’ve arranged with the school that I don’t need to wear a tie, so why do I have to now?

“Please, honey,” says mum, her voice wobbling through her gentle flowing tears “Just for today. Alan, just for today”

She moves her eyes down ...

"Here comes a soul saver on your record player floating about in the dust"

Dad got mad with me! I don’t blame him but my brain exploded. The lights, the music and all the records.I just couldn’t believe there were so many records. How can anybody make the decision of what to get. He was disappointed with me for not asking anyone at school what i should get. I didn’t know why but when i walked in that shop and ...

    Chapter 1 - Magic Bus - 1986

“I'm so nervous, I just sit and smile”

I have been staring at this sign for weeks now. Let’s face it I don’t have much else to do. This bus is full of the white noise of chatter but none of ...

Firstly, I wanted to avoid the term “Potterball”. Well, apart from just then. Sorry. For the purposes of this article I will use the longer terms “our style of football” or “Graham Potter’s style of football” even though they are longer, and therefore harder to type, because they are slightly less cringy and cannot be used ironically. Right, so now that’s out of the way what has ...

Number 8……. Brighton & Hove Albion, will play….

    Number 35…...Sheffield Wednesday.

The third round draw of the 2019/20 FA Cup will see Albion meet Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup for the first time since the historic 1983 meeting at Highbury, then home of Arsenal and the allocated neutral ground for the semi-final contest.

With our away record, I am always nervous venturing away from the Amex following dropped points at home. But on this year's evidence, we may well end up collecting more points away than we do on home soil...an emphatic win at Watford, and a brave performance to be proud of at the Etihad - add to the list the domination of Newcastle United live on SKY SPORTS PREMIER LEAGUE ULTRA HD ‘THE HOME OF ENGLISH FOOTBALL’, THE BEST PLACE TO WATCH VAR REVIEWS OR GO OUT FOR A CUPPA WHILE THEY REVIEW THE GOAL.

Back in 2010, Brighton and Hove Albion’s then manager Gus Poyet philosophised in his typical, charismatic way what football meant following an improbable draw against Charlton. The manager felt his team had been wronged by the referee as Albion were reduced to ten after just seven minutes, but instead chose to focus on what the team had achieved, and the incredible atmosphere.

“It’s all about Brighton it’s all about Brighton. It’s

Following the incredible result at Watford in the season opener, back to a buzzing Amex for the first home game under Graham Potter. The Albion fans, in another 30,000+ crowd, full of optimism – expectation not only of a result, but of being entertained. Crazy times.

Team news is in. Here’s a handy tweet from Andy Naylor, to save me typing it. Naylor’s twitter output is still free to read, at least!
