Back in December when the Premier League’s TV dates were confirmed, a few Albion fans (including myself) scoffed at the inclusion of Burnley at home. Following the two enthralling encounters of last season, both ending 0-0, it seemed odd that anyone would want to pay actual money to televise the fixture. More pertinently, it didn’t seem relevant - after amassing an impressive points tally as Christmas approached, many of the BHAFC faithful were looking up the table rather than down.

But this, of course, is the Albion we’re talking about. And where the Albion are concerned, nothing is ever straightforward.

The Seagulls may only be in their second season in the Premier League, but 18 months is a long time in football.

Despite many predicting Albion to struggle this season, the club has managed to establish itself in mid-table of the Premier League, making it a good time to jump on the latest betting sites and back the Seagulls for a third straight outing in the top flight next campaign.

The good old days are certainly back at the club that less that, at the turn

If the Premier League season so far is anything to go by, Albion seem to be charting a course for survival once again and achieving the club's primary aim of securing another season of stability in England’s top flight. However, there’s a long, long way to go and in a season full of ups and downs, there is always an opportunity for the positive showing to date coming undone.

    Oh. My. Days.

What a night. What a fantastic, crazy, epic night.

Wandering up to ground in the freezing rain – tense. Nervous. Excited. Huge, huge game. A win would be massive, the unthinkable crushing. Team news in – couple of changes – Montoya in for the injured Capitan, and super Glenn restored in place of Saturday’s match-winner Florin Andone.

    As for the visitors:

Maty Ryan became the first Albion player to be named PFA Premier League Player of the Month for his exploits in the Seagulls’ goal during October. The second consecutive Premier League season for Brighton & Hove Albion was always likely to be a stern test, particularly with such a difficult run of fixtures to commence the campaign. However, despite the expected difficulties, the team managed by Chris Hughton appears to be showing a familiar resolve once again.

A ridiculously busy spell at work, has meant I’ve neglected this responsibility for a good while. In home games since I last found the time to pen anything (United), the Albion have drawn with Fulham (game turned on a missed penalty, great comeback, but ultimately two points dropped), lost to Spurs (showed a good side too much respect, but could have nicked an unlikely point), and beaten West Ham (solid defensive display, Murray clinical).

Coupled with a huge away win at Newcastle last time out, a pretty healthy

Despite Brighton & Hove Albion beating relegation last season in the club’s first ever Premier League campaign, it was always going to be tough for The Seagulls as they embarked on their second year in England’s top flight.

Chris Hughton and his men would have been well aware of the much publicised ‘second-season syndrome’. But after a thrilling 3-2 victory over mighty Manchester United at the Amex Stadium in their second league
