• Nathan Jones and Brighton & Hove Albion

Nathan Jones masterminded a vital win for the Albion at Fulham tonight and he was in buoyant mood in his post-match interview with BBC Sussex Sport. The Welshman has not won over all of Albion's support since his return to Sussex, but his love of the club should not be in doubt tonight.

On the back of the victory at Craven Cottage, bookies have trimmed the odds of him securing the vacant managerial position on a permanent basis, but that would still be a big surprise with Chris Hughton heavily tipped to move to the South Coast in the near future.

Regardless, it is worth reflecting on Nathan Jones response to tonight's victory...

On the victory: "That was a Brighton performance today - outstanding from start to finish. We were the best side."

On how he felt: "So, so proud to be involved tonight. That was a proper Brighton performance."

On goalscorer Adrian Colunga: "Colunga put in a proper shift defensively. In possession heís a very, very talented young man."

On Chris O'Grady's recall: "We called COG back because we felt we needed a bit of presence. I felt we needed a physical presence to help us get up the pitch. Momentum changes in games. Theyíd made a positive change and we had to be positive as well."

On Solly's winner: "Outstanding finish from Solly."

On being in charge: "However long itís for, Iím very proud of the players."

When questioned about a vociferous 3000+ Albion away following: "Are you surprised about that? Thatís Brighton fans for you. The fans were outstanding - itís an outstanding club. Iím not surprised about that."

On what he is going to do next: "Iíd like to have a cider on the bus and Iím going to go home and give my girlfriend a hug. I've not seen her much recently."
