• Injuries set to continue to weaken Albion attack

Albion boss Sami Hyypia looks set to be short of attacking options for tomorrow night's scrap with Millwall in front of the Sky cameras.

He has confirmed that Kazenga LuaLua, injured in the 2-1 defeat to Fulham, has yet to train so will not be available for selection. Additionally, Sam Baldock is rated as extremely doubtful, although the club will assess his fitness closer to kick-off before making a decision.

Reflecting on these injury setbacks, a pragmatic Hyypia said: “That’s football - we have to try and adapt and cope with the situation.”

With Craig Mackaill-Smith, Chris O'Grady and Shamir Fenelon all out on loan, it leaves Albion very light up front and the onus will continue to be on Villa loanee Darren Bent to try and gain the Albion a much-needed three points.

One win in the last 16 league games has seen Sami Hyypia's men slip into the bottom three. Victory against Millwall will haul the Albion out of the relegation zone, leapfrogging Millwall themselves. The Albion would remain above the dotted line if Rotherham then fail to beat Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
