A total of eight of Albion's senior and youth players were in action with their countries over this International break, visiting all corners of Europe, from Vassarellan to Vinkovci.

    Tue 14.10.14, Poland 2 - 2 Scotland

After Scotland's brave performance in Germany during the most recent round of fixtures, Albion skipper Greer had to wait for his opportunity to stake a claim for a starting berth, in what boss Gordon Strachan claims is the Scots' 'strongest side in a long time'. That said, he has performed well when called on, and is in fine form at club level.

He was an unused substitute for the first fixture, as his side secured a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a first half own goal.

The Scots travelled to Warsaw for the second match, to face a Polish side on top of their game - fresh from a stunning 2-0 win over the World Champions Germany on Saturday. With Grant Hanley withdrawing from the squad with an injury picked up against Georgia, Greer had to step in and test himself against Robert Lewandowski! The comments on social media suggest that Scotland fans were less aware than the Albion faithful, of just how good our captain is. He put in a superb performance, as the Scots secured a fabulous 2-2 draw.
