• Albion closing in on Lenihan?

With the Albion continued to be linked to Cork City's highly-rated defender Brian Lenihan yesterday, there are reports that Lenihan could be set to head to the Amex soon in a deal purported to be worth in the region of 200,000.

The Irishman has been watched by many clubs from the Premier League, with Crystal Palace reported to have had an offer rejected. Hull were believed to be the favourites to land Lenihan, who has represented the Republic of Ireland U-21s, but it could be the Albion who are set to get a deal agreed first.

Lenihan played for Cork City in their League of Ireland Premier League fixture against Bray Wanderers last night.

If he's linked to Premier League clubs, surely the fact that we are supposedly interested in him is a positive reflection on our scouting?

What I'm saying is, Do we stand a chance of competing for a player that premier league clubs want!.
If we did, Then I would be very happy!
