• No Man Utd for Albion in Capital One Cup 2nd round

Albion fans hoping for a glamour tie in the second round of the Capital One Cup will be left disappointed due to the mechanics of the draw, which takes place on Sky immediately after this evening's Coventry v Cardiff televised first round clash.

Thirteen Premier League clubs enter the competition in the second round with the remaining seven joining in Round 3 as they are involved in European competition.

The draw is seeded, with the top 12 Football League clubs still in the competition (based on last seasonís finishing positions), including the Albion, joining the 13 Premier League clubs as seeds.

Unseeded clubs will be subject to a pre-draw to determine a home or away match, with each unseeded team facing a seeded side. Seeded clubs will be drawn out live on Sky Sports News with the draw numbers as listed below
