Trains were decent, well at least in my experience they were. Got a 8 carriage Gatwick Express before and after the game

What are the queues for the park and ride at the Racecourse like after the game these days?

Used it for the first time on Saturday and was pretty impressed. Stayed until the end of the game, the queue to get on the return bus moved quickly, and no queue to exit the car park.

I use it each game. Always stay to the end, clap the players off, then join the queue. No great delay in getting on the bus (maybe 20 min max, typically). No problem at all getting away from the Race Hill, whether parking is in front or behind the racecourse stand.

You were lucky - four car GX from Brighton to Falmer out, six car rattler back.
